You need to watch out for the tailgate cracking along the seam next to the hinges and the checkstrap, mine has a little crack there that isn't spreading, but if you let the door bounce when opening it they can get worse. The convenience of it for putting stuff in the back and things like having a little table on it for camping can't be beat, though.
Have a 120 series and broke heaps of aerials. There is a lot of movement with the Prado bull bars. Installed a broom stick aerial 5 years ago and never had a problem since.
Great vid thx for sharing only one complaint though,,you said imagine the prado without a snorkel yes i totally agree it would look crap, but imagine the prado without a bull bar would look even more crap,,,,,,you have to have a bullbar my friend orelse they look like weekend shopping trolleys
Good info thanks. I have done almost everything here except my bullbar is a Winch ready TJM one and i love it. Looks awesome too. Look at some 265/70/R17 for your next tyres, bigger, looks better and more offroad performance. They fit easy as.
Good review, I am set up much the same except for snorkel. I am looking at two the safari similar to you or the air tech, where the head sits up close to the roof above the screen . Do you have any thoughts on which may be better ? Good to see you at wombat, I live at Sunbury and this and is my home playground
Hey mate how did you attach the fire extinguisher to that side bit of the passenger seat? Looking online for a bracket but all I can find are ones that fit under the driver seat which I don't like that much.
Anth do you have the info for the side steps? I have a need for exact same thing. Also the lambswool sheepskin console armrest any info on that? Thanks
hi mate. nice informative video. I have a 2005 Prado in petrol. I'm thinking of getting a snorkel from either ARB or TJM. what you reckon? more importantly, I want to get rated recovery point for the front but I have genuine Toyota bullbar. can you please guide me as to where I can get this sorted. I have done my research but haven't had much luck. any suggetsion?
Look up OCAM 4wd stuff. They have really affordable recovery points for the prado. I have the same model. Avoid the really cheap snorkels, they can be a serious pain to install. TJM should be fine though.
