I agree with the mist situation. I've had many mists and when I use it in the middle of the day, it just made my skin drier. However, the only mist product that never made my skin dry when using whenever is the Sioris Time is Running Out. Maybe because it has oil in it.
Phenomenal video. Have been incorporating your tips from your past videos, but it’s great to have all the information in one place. I found you through Dr. Dray a couple months ago, so had lots of catching up binge watching to do!😁 I’ve become obsessed with sea buckthorn. It has omega 3, 6, 9 AND 7! (7 is really rare to find). I take it internally as well as use in my skin care (am & pm - once a day isn’t enough! 😊) I see a huge difference in my oily, acne-prone, aging, dehydrated skin. Stronger, less issues/acne, fuller (supposed to help with fat loss in your face due to age), more glowing and hydrated. It has quickly become a holy grail. I don’t love masking, but I was concerned about TEWL from my shower. I started keeping a thicker toner (with body-ody, as you like to say 😄) in my shower caddy. I apply it immediately after washing my face (still trying to go down to tepid water. I’m at warm instead of hot, so … progress). Then I put on a thin reusable silicone face mask cover (like the one from Daiso, but a clear 5-pack from Amazon) to keep it locked in while I finish the rest of my shower. Then go on with the rest of my skin care when I’m out. It seems to do a good job. I’m sure masks would help, but overall I think they’re messy and expensive, so this is my compromise. I also bought a pack of those compressed cotton face masks so I can make my own from my current stash of toners if I feel my skin really needs more. Anyway, it’s all about progress and perseverance, right? Take care.❤️
I love how in-depth and informative are your videos! Thanks for the upload, amazing content.✨ My skin is hardly ever dehydrated, however, because of my new schedules and environment I think I could use some of these tips for the current state of my skin. 🥺
This couldn’t come at a more appropriate time! The seasonal shift around autumn always messes my barrier up so bad. Just put in an order on yesstyle full of soothing stuff including the naturekind super barrier urea scream (loool I cant unsee it now I’ve seen it) and ample:n ceramide ampoule! So excited. You’re truly a gem and your videos are by far the most informative and helpful ones I’ve come across 🌸
I have no idea if this makes sense but i feel like it works: I shower in the evening and I use my oil cleanser while the water is heating up, then I rinse that off but it leaves an oily residue. I let that residue sit on my face until the last minute of my shower. Only then will I take my gel cleanser and get the residue off. I feel like it's an extra protective layer from the warm water.
Great, informative video as always Kelly! You're almost at 50K subscribers!! Also, in the skin journal writing down foods you eat. That has helped with treating my rosacea.
Thank you! Journaling can really help you make connections and it's all about knowing all the little quirks of your body and what does and doesn't work! Really glad to hear that you're finding success with your rosacea! 💖
Thanks Kelly. I needed this. Ever look in your rear view mirror in the car and go ewww? I call it an ugly day lol. I definitely need hydration. I've been running the air conditioner constantly. I'm going to get a humidifier, oils etc
Tip #16 Aquafor broke my entire face out so bad. I started using Retinol from the Dr like 4 weeks ago. It dried me out and I watched a video on here and somebody said its a good idea to put Aquafor on my dry. I have never broke out like this. I get 1 or 2 pimples around my time of the month. Thats it. My biggest issue is super dry skin all year. I am just putting it out there. I skipped my Drs treatment this week cause my face is a horrible mess.
i was dealing with the crappy mugwort moisturizer from the im from line (totally destined for the super oily folks) and while i was waiting to receive my new moisturizer that i ordered the sunscreen tip was really helpful. Thank you!
I put my favourite glycerine based product after serums and just before my moisurizer. My skin is very sensitive and the Benton Deep Green Tea Lotion works like a charm. Besides being hydrating, it is also calming. It is quite light so great for all skin types. Super affordable too!
Thank you for the tips! I will apply all of then to my skincare routine except for having an occlusive moisturizer because it can trigger my perioral dermatitis.
What is weird about my skin is that I am dehydrated oily. But 90% of the time I’m dehydrated just around my mouth and nose. It’s hard bc I can’t just slather my face in liquid gold (which I love per your rec. can’t wait to see what their new launch is, I have LG on subscription) all over my face bc I suffer from acne and clogged pores. So I have to be very calculated with exfoliating, and moisturizing. It stinks.
I feel you, my chin are is always more sensitive and dry and wearing a mask does not help! Definitely applying skincare just where you need it has been helpful, it definitely can be troublesome but hopefully you've found a good balance!
I never understand misting mid-day… u have sunscreen on it’s gonna come off… the water lol. If i mist, i mist right before i reapply my sunscreen cuz it’s kinda like lock-it-down + sunscreen benefut
Hi Kelly!! I have sea buckthorn, moringa, and rose hip seed oil.. would that blend be good? I havent heard much about moringa oil but I have some here for some reason! haha thank you for the great video!! and my tip: adding an occlusive, like you said. I got the cocokind all for one balm and it really helps lock all the moisture and products in.
I love what you are saying but...big but...Eliizabeth Arden Red Door collection - I bought it, the cleanser is horrible. Can you find any ingredients? I couldn't ...What you said is amazing! Love it
Hi Kelly. I went back to your video about Tretinoin nights. My question is can I use my toner , serum and liquid gold and oil before Tretinoin?? And can I put it all on before the tretinon?? Please. I am confused. Thanks!!Love love love your videos!!!
No, pH has nothing to do with the ability of surfactants to cleanse your skin. You definitely want a pH of 5.5 if you're acne-prone since raising skin pH makes your skin more vulnerable to acne causing bacteria.
@@KellyDriscoll I'm currently using The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser, which has a pH of 5. What's your opinion on that cleanser? I've never heard you talk about it (good or bad)
Have you used the holika holika black snail toner? It just messed up my skin after two applications. I don’t know if it’s perfume (none of my other skin care products have perfume) or snail mucin since I’m not reacting to denatured alcohol (which it contains)….luckily it was a sample size
@@churrho i really hope it’s not the snail mucin i so wanna try the cosrx toner and cream….I’ll try product with perfume to see if i get the same reaction
Dermatologists do not recommend using occlusive balms in the morning if you plan to wear SPF. Yes, you always apply SPF last in your skincare routine but it has to form a proper layer on your skin, and it will only slip and slide on top of a thick balm.
