I would keep 5. Because they do fight each other. But 10 would be too much for that space. I would also add a tiny Ancistrus pleco. Eats everything they leave. And since they eat alot of food that fouls the water, I would keep 2 big sponge filters, or a Aquaclear 50 hangonback. First sponge, then as much ceramic as you can fit. The a super thin layer up top with fine filter floss. That you change often. And an intake sponge. Aquael have good once that fits perfectly. Aquaclear has prefilter sponges, but they are way to fine. Clogs up 2 days a week. Then of course Plants so they can't see each other all the time. Something fast growing so it will be thick, but still grow back really quickly if you want. I would suggest, guppy grass Pogostemon Stellatus Octopus Plant. And if you have good lighting, why not some carpeting plant son the bottom. Like lilaeopsis or dwarf saggitaria. Did my best too answer you. But please, aske me more of you need.
