Update: This old girl and I were together for 11 years and when I turned 80 she traded me in for a younger model. Broke my heart but it was time. She's found a good home with a younger Car Guy and I have visitation rights. We are only caretakers of these classics as they will outlive us with care and attention.
I love this thing. I'm trying to sell my '51 Belair as I type this to fund a '49 Ford Coupe. 11 months later the Chevy's sold and I bought a '49 Club coupe with a 239
All prior cars had "Fat Fenders" In 49, Ford came out with a slab side design. Several years later it was referred to as a shoebox, Thanks for watching.
VERY nice. That's the way to keep a car like that. ORIGINAL. It doesn't need to be modified. Radial tires and seatbelts. Electronic ignition parts maybe, if needed. Otherwise keep it as is.
George B Thank you for the compliments. I’ve owned it 10 years and it’s time to pass it on to a new owner. It’s for sale if you know of anyone who would like to continue to preserve it in the original state
