Yeah that line was so saddening. They are doing their best but people arent paying attention. They couldnt achieve the utopia for so long. Cmon they deserve much better.
The affect confidence has on voice support makes such a difference. Odd Eye's only missing element might be a Gahyeon rap section. And another 2 minutes or so.
Yoohyeon had the most lines, but it's almost split equally among all seven. Dami singing along with rapping, and Handong getting more lines really evened it out.
siyeon devasted me this comeback with her outfit and blonde short hair and dongie did amazing omg. the comeback showcase is definitely worth checking out too the choreo and their stage prescence is outstanding.

About the mask in Scream it represents the bullies hiding behind the internet. There’s probably more to it than that too tho. I’m still in love with how they took the meaning of the song and tied it in to pay tribute Handong absence

I couldn't find good freeze frames, but I believe that that was hexidecimal code. What it says I'm not sure, I couldn't get a good look at it. Also, Sua had Theban writing beneath her eyes (the languages of witches as it's called colloquially. It was the same script used in Scream.)

My take away was that things aren’t always what they seem. Something (or someone) can look perfect from the outside, but once you look deeper it isn’t as put together as we thought. I feel like this whole trilogy has been a commentary on social media and how it affects people. Great stuff!
This is one of their most balanced songs for sure. Siyeon and Yoohyeon took a step back vocally,although Yoohyeon carried that chorus perfectly and Siyeon's power notes are no joke plus I think visually they're my favorite in this mv. But giving Dongie and Gahyeon the vocal lines was great to see! Even Dami got to sing in this

Well yeah it's kinda sad they didn't reached the Utopia. But it's refreshing to see there's this realistic ending to the whole storyline. A Utopia is basically the ideal of a perfect society you aspire to, but the corruptive nature of the mankind makes the Utopia an unreachable fantasy. Awesome. I love it. Painfully realistic, and the lyrics are completely depicting that image of frustration you get when you realize those fantasies you have are all a lie. Can they please get the recognition they deserve this time, like a valid music show award for their best comeback ever? #NOMOREUTOPIA

Okay this is probably really stupid but I was probably more upset by that conclusion than I was ever expected to be. But when I think of this whole trilogy, the line that I really think of is Boca. 'Why do you fill your precious time with hate, too many angels dying now'. And maybe fans read into that too much but since Boca was released, I've always heard that line as being a reference to the hate comments that took Sulli and Hara. And for the trilogy to conclude that the utopia was a mirage that never existed and that there's nowhere safe from this kind of evil..it's just really stuck with me. As I said, I doubt it was supposed to hit me the way it did but it's definitely brought me to tears. It's a beautiful song but damn...

My first comeback. I ordered all 4 versions of this album because I could. All the teaser stuff- pictures, melody highlight, vocal teaser for all the songs, the two video teasers for Odd Eye.. it kept me counting down till the release of this song and waiting for this album. Odd Eye, Poison Love, New Days.. honestly every song sounded like it was gonna be another perfect song and Odd Eye certainly has not disappointed. another masterpiece. They are coming to slay. It’s a bop.The lyrics are deep, as usual for a Dreamcatcher song. Catchy too. This is going to be another multi time watch, this now make basically 4 watches.. as I did two on my own. My first was to take it all in, the second was to read the lyrics, the next however many will be to figure out everything that is going on and put it with the lyrics . Their is so much going on- the story being told, the choreo, the girls slaying it with the visuals. I already have the chorus stuck in my head. Handong just makes the song sound complete (just like OT7 Scream, Boca and Black or White do). SuA wreaking me as usual. Siyeon and Dami owning me as they usually do as my biases. Yoohyeon, JiU, Handong and Gahyeon killed it too. They will all wreak you in their own ways.
i saw so many people on the video you did with ot7 boca and scream say handong's voice doesn't fit the title tracks and how her voice is too soft and can really only be used for ballads but she literally proved in this comeback that that is NOT the case lmao. she got a good amount of parts and screen time in this and i'm so glad for that.
I would say that originally that was the case, her vocals weren't strong enough. Youth With You really helped her, both vocally and confidence-wise, however, and now she's wrecking all of us even harder than she was before :D
@@leviberg2377 yea i also think originally, because she wasn’t fluent in korean, she didn’t get that many parts and happyface didn’t really want to push her forward in the chorus of songs (probably because she wasn’t confident yet) but i do think that her going to youth with you helped them see (and helped handong see) that she’s very capable of adapting her voice to whatever genre they need her voice for. Although i’ve been biasing her since they debuted so i always had faith in her abilities but i’m glad to see she’s bias wrecking people lol
I agree with your interpretation of the lyrics that they thought they found utopia but it was a lie. I wonder if odd eye is the same as two faced? It wasn't until you said it in this video that I realised Scream is hear no evil, Boca is speak no evil and Odd Eye is see no evil. So I wonder they didn't see the evil because they were deceived. This isn't how I expected the story line to end so I hope there are some words of comfort in the rest of the album 😂 I miss Gahyeon's rap but she got to sing so that's good.

I think this song and the album in general focused more on vocals. Which is great, seeing as last time rap got a lot of the spotlight. Even Dami's rap in this song was purposely played down, although she killed it. I think they just really wanted the vocals to shine.
