In Brazil that's called barbotherapy. It's done on men a lot, and barbers usually do that for free sometimes only to practice. Usually the price is the same as an haircut, so I think it was fairly priced and well done.
I am from Bhutan. I like that u are subtle and calm while talking. U have the patience to talk and explain well. U have a very good videography skills. Have a nice time. Greeting from Bhutan
What an interesting introduction in Maldives. So much for us to learn about this country from you.Continue to take us along and looking forward to the next spot.Cheers Ken!💕🇲🇾
Hi Ken, thank you for visiting the Maldives and creating these videos! I really enjoyed this one-it’s one of the best I’ve seen, capturing the city's sights, food, and vibrant energy. I hope it inspires more tourists to visit the capital! Thanks again!
I really love this series so far. It’s so nice to see a different side. I really think the local islands look beautiful. Looks like paradise. Thanks for showing us Male. Would love to visit one day
So far the most interesting/real video about the Maldives; see the other side of the luxury hotels. Dive in the working's conditions, pollution there etc; we want see it all.
Great vid Ken. Thanks. You've totally changed my impression of Male. I'd heard terrible reports. I could easily spend a week there doing exactly what you did today. Thanks again☺☺🙏🙏☺☺
What a pleasure it is to travel with you (virtually) to Maldives. Beautiful beaches, lovely city (Male), friendly and kind locals and delicious local foods. Oh it's indeed a wonderful journey !! Thank you sooooooo much for sharing your travels with us. You are a fantastic You Tuber/vlogger. Kudos to you, Ken.
@@KenAbroad You are most welcome, Ken. Oh what a nice haircut and a clean shave well done by that barber. He even gives you a "facial treatment" That love shaped souvenir is a nice gift for your girlfriend. I'm pretty sure she will love and treasure it.
Maldives is such a charming country, the luxurious resorts on their own private islands are beyond any comparisons. I remember you compared Maldives to a tropical island in Malaysia, was it Perhentian.
Thank you for your info, I didn't know that Maldives is a Muslim country and I also didn't know that it's mandatory or compulsory for her people to embrace Islam as the only religion.
Anyone skipping Male and just heading to resorts are really missing out. It is a nice city, really unique and there are some other local islands that you can get to for next to nothing that are nice to visit too. I look forwards to coming again... Keep the videos coming!!
Ken you are superb in detailing each small moment of tourism interest. Love from Punjab- the land of five rivers, the Golden Temple & the grain bowl of India.
hoping to see you visit fuvahmulah as well ! its one of the most beautiful local islands i visited in maldives. and if you want to go for a mix between local and tourist life definitely visit maafushi, very close to male'. looking forward to more videos in the maldives !
I can't say anything new since I'm a bit late, so as a Maldivian myself I'll Welcome you as well. Welcome to Maldives 😅 May you find our casual lifestyle pleasing
Greetings from the Maldives ken. Glad ur here finally. Im a local here and have been following you since covid (KL) . Do visit a local island and try some local food.
The roof of the mosque looks diff. fr the ones found in Malaysia. The skilful barber did a good haircut n shave. The sweet snack n savoury fish snack look delicious. I like the market. Modern n clean. The buildings at Male r modern too. I virtually learn Geography thru yr vblog. Awesome n interesting. Happy blogging to u, Ken. 👍🙏😍
Hey Keb, I have been to the Maldives a few times and I know many people skip Male but like you I did go around the city and stayed the night before heading to the beach resort the next day. It is worth visiting the city for a day for sure
That is why I love your travelling style Ken, travel and sharing the local info with us. Its really interesting to see that most of the island have beautiful beach with crystal clear water, but seems its not the case with the sea water on the fish market area? or I cannot see it clearly on the video?
Hello from maldives! I havent watched the video yet but im super excited you visited our country and i hope you did enjoy it. Also black tea is called "kalhu saa" i heard you say "karu saa" and milk tea is actually very popular in the maldives too, its just a lot of old people in maldives have diabetes and stuff so they usually drink black tea.
Hi, I am from Maldives, masroti we just eat with tea, normal we don't mix with ketchup, kids these days mix with it. Malaysian mammak place it's not the same. It's totally different. Most of the short eats are made with tuna and coconut 🥥, it's very nice. I miss the food. I am living in Malaysia. It's nice to see you are enjoying the local food.
What the barber did on your face is called barbotherapy. It's usually the same price of a haircut. Sometimes more expensive depending on the establishment and the products they apply on your face. It's really good for you who travels a lot and is frequently exposed to the sun. You should do that from time to time to keep your facial skin healthy.
Oh sorry habe gerade gesehen dass du die Frage schon beantwortet hast. Da bin ich erleichtert, ich dachte schon, dass du die nächsten Tage in Flip-Flops herumlaufen musst 😢
Hi Ken, if you ever find your shoes wet again, just stuff newspaper into them and leave them in the sun..they dry out 3 times faster. Also..what device do you use to record your videos?
The traditional way of eating that round thing (mas roshi, which translates to "fish roti". It is made using wheat and has coconut, tuna and onion inside) is eating it without dipping in sauce. The sauces were brought by the later generations. Also about the guard thing at president's palace... The guards are in the rooms with windows. You'll also see armed MNDF soldiers patrolling the area the palace is in.
I like traveling but i got overwhelmed trying to figure out going from berlin to prague then to vienna by train. I ended up driving to Frankfurt and staying there and flying back to the usa. Wish i could just travel. So far been to Ireland, isle of man, Germany, canada, Mexico. Next i want to go to Asia somewhere.
Go to Chef Mode Badhige restaurant in Hulhumale for an authentic Maldivian cuisine and do try Maldivian breakfast ( disk, mashuni, roshi, kulhimas, rihaakuru) in red snapper ☺️
In 1986… I get to know two Maldives students studying at Mara Institute Of Technology. Studying Hotel Management and Hospitality… I only remembered one name “Abdullah Mausom”.. I already forgot the other chap name… May be Abdullah had already became a big boss now in his country …..Maybe someone from Maldives knows him..please respond. I think his age now 54/55 or 56 years old Stay safe and stay happy
He must be Maldives tourism minister then, he was tourism minister twice in two different governments , Dr. Mausoom ! You can Google Dr mausoom Maldives
Ken,I like your traveling videos in China. You are willing to objectively report and show a real China without biases and prejudice. Do you plan to travel some other Chinese cities in the near future? I am looking forward to seeing your next video in China.😊
