Beautiful results!! Not to be messy, but I can tell you didn't like how they styled it. You just said that your hair before was too flat, and they made it flatter. I know you'll slay it when you get home.
+CreoleAdonis Haha! Yes it wasn't as BIG as I usually wear it but my curls were SOOO DEFINED I couldn't make myself run a pick through it & fluff it out! 🙈 You can see how I styled it the next day on IG. 😊 @MzBiancaRenee
Yep! But consider it takes a longer time to do a Deva cut than a regular cut. A regular trim can be easily done in 20 minutes (in my case) and a Deva cut can take like an hour and a half or more!
I got my first Deva Cut Friday, 12/30/16. It was a cut, shaping rather, and styling. I paid $105.00+ tip here in NYC and it was worth every penny. It was THE BEST experience I have had in a salon and appreciated the tips Tatiyana gave me. Tatiyana suggested that I come back in 5-6 months but I will probably go back sooner just for a wash, styling and the pampering. It's worth it. oxox Deva Curl!
Adri R-Dubz Devachan- (212) 274-8686 www.devacurl.com/salon.html Check out their website. They charge at least $100.00 to start for a cut but it's worth it. I had a great experience and hope you will also. FYI, my hairdresser is Tatiana.
Also, I mostly only use Deva Curl products. Sometimes Shea Moisture deep conditioner. If you do not currently use Deva Curl products, you can find a trial pack (no poo shampoo, conditioner, gel) at Ricky's for about $10.00. Hit me up and let me know how it turned out. Have a good day.
well damn! this place is fancy and professional asf! why can't all hairstylist and barber's be the best and know what their doing. sigh :( but this place seems amazing! :-)
All through this video I was holding my breath! If you even looked bothered by the cut or color I was going to be ready to suit up. i love the new color and curls, but I know that when you get it home you will rock it! :)
I'm glad you had a good experience. I'm just now realizing for a while now you haven't been natural, but color treated. I am glad they didn't fuck up your hair. that salon looks so fancy
yaaaaaassssss watching this was weirdly therapeutic lol I'm growing my hair out its maybe 2 inches above my bra strap when wet but when that shrinkage hits it's right above my shoulders lol I think when I graduate in 2018 it'll be long enough to where I'm comfortable to get it colored and cut into a nice shape
I'm at a complete crossroads with my hair. I've been using perms since I was at least 5, I didn't even know I had natural curly hair till I stopped using perms for 4 months and started following all these curl bloggers. I still don't know my curl pattern yet but, they look like a mixture of 3c/4a. Anyhow I'm moving away to go to school at UCI, so I'm definitely thinking about having this life changing makeover before September. And it's super important to go to someone who KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING - especially when you're a new naturalist.
Love the education they give but I don’t like that she said the highlights aren’t damaging.... they may be less damaging than foil highlights cause they are less likely to over process but it’s still bleach and it’s still damaging even with olaplex.
Skinny Legend they aren’t bleaching her hair though. It’s a certified salon for ALL types of curly hair, so they use products exclusively for curly hair types that don’t hurt it. Everyone gets a little damage from coloring their hair, but it’s a specific dye so it doesn’t. It also depends the color.
Those lounges are genuis ! A lot of people are unaware of "beauty parlor strokes" even though they claim they are rare its still happening... Its all because of the way the neck is positioned in the shampoo bowl when the client is in a seated position ... Also what an amazing service they provided you! I do not go to salons at all-- I do all my own cutting and coloring at home... but I must say I would go to the salon you feature here! They actually care and pay attention to detail which matters the most to me!
Wow... That guy really knows curly hair..... Wish I was the one getting my hair washed and pampered. Looks amazingly relaxing. Plus your hair still looks extremely healthy after the bleach.. Wow
Wow! He really did a number on those curls during that treatment. :) I really would like to experience a true curly cut. I checked & none of the stylist in my area are said to be very good on more ethnic hair. Do u mind me asking how much the whole process cost u?
I love the devachan salon in NYC. They give great hair cuts, but like your hair, mine always come out flat when they style it. My hair comes out better at home. The problem is they don't have an option for just getting a cut
wow this video looks so professional! Amazing work. Definitely saw the process on snapchat (❤️) but this video is great. Ive always wanted to get my hair specially devacut because i do have that flatness on top like you did.
Beautiful DevaChan Salon! Beautiful re-color and DevaCut!! Very informative video. Beautiful finished product of your hair! My 3c hair is multi-textured which shrinks, making it shorter in the back than the front. My hair looks like a tapered cut. Bianca, do you think the DevaCut would work on my hair?
It's just funny to me how the stylist is trying to make dying or bleaching your hair sound healthy, lol... she talks about foils being damaging, but still wraps it and puts it under heat... which is all fine, but just don't try & sugarcoat everything. It is what is is... 😊
i want to get my hair treated like this but for one its sooooooooo expensive especially if u have thick curly medium length hair and 2 i dont trust other ppl with my hair... UGH the struggle!!!!! but this was so relaxing to watch. loved the results.
Love your cut! I just recently heard about Rezocut, which i guess is another curly hair cut method, have you heard of this? I'm curious what your thoughts are and if there's a difference between the two?
Hi Bianca! I'm so so happy I found your video. I've been contemplating eyeing a deva cut for a few months now but I wasn't sure because they are expensive. But after watching your video it looks like a worthwhile process! I was wondering if you had any advice on how I should go about it. I wanted to get a deva cut as well as get the pintura highlights. Is it a good idea to get both in one sitting even though I do have some heat damage or should I do separate appointments?
Did you put any hair products in before getting your cut? I know on their website it says to go in with clean and dry hair for the devacut I really want a devacut with bangs so badly!
OMG thank you so much for sharing....how I wish I lived in the LA area! This was AWESOME....I want these same people to do my hair!!!! :) Now let me see if I can find a Deva salon near me.
Hi gorgeous! The day/week before how did you prepare your natural hair for dyeing? Did you not wash it or strip all your wash and go products out or can you just keep it all on and dye it? I’ve never dyed my hair and I want to but I need guidance on how to prepare for my upcoming salon apt. (Which I might cancel if I chicken out lol) thank you
