This is my 1st time doing street photography in London. This video is the 1st part of my short stay in London. Octavian. As a London born photographer I watch several of the London-based street photographers on RU-vid. You are not very familiar with London but I want you to know that your shots are some of the best I have seen recently. Your shots tell small stories. The photo of the girl with sunglasses on her big hair taking a smartphone shot was superb. It's important to me that I tell you this. Looking forward to Part 2. Also, the intro was great!

Thank you ! I really appreciate your compliment. I still have lots to learn. I have a feeling you will like more the pictures from the second part. In terms of street photography it's better and probably these are my best shots so far. Brave guy. This level of heat can be a big motivator to cancel any outside activity. You definitely checked all the boxes: shadows, reflections, pockets of light and of course the intro, smooth as always. The architecture in London is indeed impresive. Must have been very tempting 😁. The shots came out very very nice. Great one again. Well done 👏👏👏

Thank you Andrew! And I fully agree with you. However, my best shots will be in the next video. I was more in a scouting and tourist mode in the first day :). I focused more on street photography in part 2 :) . Thanks for watching!

Very much enjoyed seeing my city through your eyes. Some great shots. You were very brave going out in that heat, I stayed inside all day on both days 😂

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks a lot Gail :) By the way I had the best EVER cinnamon buns at 'Gail's" hehe. Absolutely loved the pastry there and can't find the same ones in Brussels :). I was out the two days but the heat got me on the 2nd day and I wasn't up to do the outro :)

I found your channel looking for Berlin street photography as I am going there in May for a long weekend. Your photos are excellent and I really enjoy your take on London, great content and great images. If you ever come back to London I would love to show you another side of this city.

looks like a splendid outing despite the heat. the sunglasses on the hair was a fantastic find. i loved your positioning to get the shot. that overhead perspective really nailed it.

Brutal heat; glad you did not melt, Octavian. Overall, your photographic eye and style are so well established by now, IMO, that the venue becomes less important. Trademark opening slo-mo stage-setter works well here, too. Favs include 1 (best of reflections), 16, 17 and 24 for layering, and 25 for fountain guy. 14, spray girl OK, but prior “lost shot” of her spraying the guy would have been far better - can’t get them all. 7, kid in composition also works very well. Fish and chips trope - not my preference over pizza - but that donut looked good😁. Too bad about the trip cancellation - have you lined up a replacement (perhaps Romania w/Vladimere?) Cheers!

Hi Paul ! You have been here a long time now and provided quality feedback to the channel, therefore can't wait to have your thoughts on the second part of the video. In my opinion it's my best street photography (in terms of classic street photography) up to date. The chips weren't great (Belgian fires are way better) but the fish was buttery and silky smooth, very good :) and pricey (as everything in London). Donut was very good, again pretty pricey. Again complaining about prices but flights are extremely expensive now to go to Romania, in the holiday season (it's twice cheaper to fly from Brussels to Rome for example). I will be in Barcelona for 3 days next week and in autumn probably a short trip in Romania, trying to arrange a trip with Jeremy :). Thanks again :)

Not far from me.... my family were all Londeners. One of your shots made me laugh... I think it was 21... you were moving around behind a guy stood alone, except he could see your shadow jigging about behind him. I knew he woukd turn round in the end 😄. Great job Octavian. Hi there and thanks a lot ! Unfortunately I haven't. I was planning to write and find a local photographer but my trip wasn't 100% sure and it was a bit tricky. However that's a pretty good thing to do when visiting a new large city. :)

Hi mate ! I was at f 9 - 16 most of the time, shutter speed at least 1/500 and ISO 800-1600
