Excellent video sir!! This is one of the best reviews I’ve found I just bought the Browning AB3 Hunter chambered in 270 win and put a Sig Buckmaster 3-12x44 scope on it the whole setup about 900 but I really wanted a wood stock, I haven’t shot it yet so I’m curious to see the recoil on a 270
Thank you so much, and you made a great choice in caliber. As you know, you are not going feel the recoil when you have the crosshair on the buck. But you'll feel it at the range, so I like to practice with limbsaver recoil pad but it comes off when I'm hunting LOL! Have fun, be safe and have a great season.
Of course, I adore my TC Compass II in .308 Win. At 100 yards, averaging 1/4 to 1/2 MOA (shooter variability. Less than 200 yards and I whistle through the same hole in the target. I also like the Browning. The AB3, from what I can tell, is the evolution from the A Bolt. Mark at Vortex Optics went black bear hunting in Washington with his Browning A Bolt .3008 WSM. Basically a fat .308 that gives some .300 Win Mag in a short action. So, Browning is a dependable shooter, as well.
Great job on this video review Doc! I'm all in with the Browning, but for the $, how can you beat the Thompson? Of course they're in two of the most accurate, low recoiling calibers! I need to practice with my Weatherby .300 and my Winchester model 70 in .375 H & H, just need a bigger recoil padded jacket! And the trigger pull on the Browning was very light!
