You have such a beautiful attitude towards each drawing! So positive, and inspiring. I hope you come to the states so i can get the opportunity to be tattooed by you. Also the foxes you tattoo are too cute! (-:

Good morning Holly! I ve been watching your videos for a while! Love your work and your intention to share it :) .. So I have a question about how can I turn a line work sketch draw to a full shade or colours tattoo? Should I do the full draw with color pencil or shade it with my pencils and after do a sketch line work for the stencil? Or just do a line work draw with ink markers as you do and freestyle the shades with a reference pic?. It may be bit confusing sorry about it 😅 but hope you can help me with it I am learning by myself that would be so helpful! Thanks a lot in advance. I love your neck tattoo btw 😄👌🏻
Hi, I’m aspiring to be a tattoo artist and I’m on my last year of my alevels. Could you give be any advice on what to start drawing first and how to draw flashes thanks x
@holly astral how do you know or remember what colors to use in your pallete by head ? I see you make a sketch with only lines and shades, but how did you get to the point of being intuitive with colors, are there any tricks or tips in how to train myself ? atm i always sketch but then i spend at least an hour or 2 extra in coloring it in, thanks in advance
It’s a beautifull tattoo studio but it’s not a tattoo shop it’s lost the mystic of a tattoo shop a tattoo shop is a place we’re you go to get a tattoo traditional walk in and you don’t do a consultation It’s like a flower shop if you want flowers this is were you go what is happening to the tattoo world it’s finished I’d be scared to go in ther so no offence you are a nice lady but this is not a tattoo shop it’s a studio
Thanks for sharing your creativity! Makes me feel i'm on the right track with my own drawing :). Keep up the good work and hope everything goes well with your shop :).
About the previous comment you are a great tattoo artist I just tell it as I see it it happening all over ther is not to many tattoo shops left a tattoo shop is like classic tattoos in the USA Tim Hendricks that is a tattoo shop that is why I say this is not a tattoo shop you are to nice to have a tattoo shop tattoo shops are shady you are not shady so I would call it a tattoo boutique not a tattoo shop a tattoo shop is like mark mahoney says is we’re the elite and the underworld meet
Love your art so much. Holly I know you are busy and understand if you can't respond. I wanted to ask what pencils you use for sketching and where can I get me some lol! So happy for you getting your tattoo business together. I wish you every success Xx
This was lovely to watch! Love your work, the way you talked about the sketches sounded more like you were showing us a scrapbook of memories from the time. You can hear the smile in your voice as you flip through, seriously lovely video.
I really want to get tattooed by you because I love your personality and I feel like I would be really comfortable being tattooed by you. I have hundreds of ideas but I've never had the courage to get any tattoos at all because I'm very socially anxious and not that I'm judgemental but heavily modified men can often come across as quite mean and scary. Even though I know a few and they're all pussy cats but the idea of going into a tattoo shop with my girly clothes and having no tattoos of my own really scares me. I feel like I stick out in that atmosphere! I'm very much into black and white tattoos on myself though and although I love your colourful designs they're not really "me" do you do black and grey stuff as well?
Yeah she said before that it’s because it doesn’t show up if she scans the drawings in to make a transfer and it is easier to make the drawings base line
I like using red or blue personally because the colored pencil doesnt smudge like graphite will. There’s also the advantage of it not showing up when scanned
You´re such an inspiration for me I´m trying to learn to tattoo at my 34 and it´s been a hard experience so far! but very rewarding and fullfilling and I´m hoping that some day I could have the succes that you´re having! you deserve it so much! hugs from Spain! Love your work!
Hey Holly, I'm an aspiring tattoo artist working towards my apprenticeship, and you've really inspired me to actually take the time on my sketchbook portfolio and my work in general and to push my comfort zone. I've actually been reworking some of my tattoo designs and trying to do styles that vary from my own. I'm getting there slowly.
Gosh, I've had a back of the neck piece idea on my mind for a long time and I would absolutely love to have you do it but unfortunately I don't live in the UK. If I ever get the chance to visit I'll definitely come to your shop!
I absolutely love your style! I don't always like flowers but yours are beautiful, and all the little animals are adorable! Glad I found your channel ^_^
Thank you for showing this sketchbook! It is the first one in a long time that really inspired me to get deeper into a new design style. I recently started designing my tattoo and the one of a friend and already got offers to sell designs, and it's really good to see your process and line of thought! It's really really good.
Your work is so beautiful and intricate, so I have a question I've always been curious about: I'd love to get some tattoos, but I know that all I'd want would be plain text/quotes, so how would you recommend I find an artist for that? Would you be offended if someone asked for some super simple text, when you can do all of these complex, beautiful drawings?
Hi Holly! I have a question for you (and for everybody else who reads this and knows more about it). I've asked a couple of artists I know this question, and I'd love to hear your opinion on this topic! What would help more when working on sketches/a portfolio and ultimately (hopefully) finding an apprenticeship: developing your own style and using that to build your portfolio? Or practice drawing a bunch of different styles, even though you might suck at some of them, to add some diversity to your portfolio? Right now I'm trying to do a bit of everything, but I feel like that kind of stops me from finding my own style.
I made a video about putting together an apprenticeship portfolio here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ud1cIuEmvyI.html hope that helps!
I think all portfolios benefit from some diversity. When you start out as a tattoo artist you generally have to tattoo anything your master hands you, a lot of that wont be "your style", but if you use some propper references you kan make any subject or style work in you favor, and you can give it a bit of your own style.
your videos are super helpful! i'm currently an art student but i'm finally hoping to start my tattooing career very soon! thank you for such wonderful content 💗
