But can he afford it tho? 🤦♂️ he put 40k+ on a loan. Monthly payments means he can afford it? I guarantee in a year or two he will be rolling more negative equity. We only say something because a lot of kids watch RU-vid, this is horrible habits with money for kids to watch.
This is true! Some people got it like that. I'd love to see the follow up and the total amount lost when he trades in for a new one though. It would be educational.
Wtf. He was upside down in the last vehicle. He rolled over the upside down value into his new payment. HELLO, he ain’t got no MONEY. He’s a dumb ass!!!!!!
@@eefdatalk Enjoy it by making more money but never spending more than you can afford. come on man. all these people getting into ridiculous car debts are not enjoying it.
Thanks for sharing with us. A lot of people will comment that they got it cheaper and stuff but whatever. I can’t afford the payments but at least you can. Enjoy that bad boy.
Mark don't listen to all those negative comments , I love that you go for want you want with no regards to pricing trucks are my passion to just trade in my 2016 gmc sierra crew for the 2020 gmc slt crew , love it .✌✌
Unless you're a young millionaire, have a ton of equity in your home, or already have hundreds of thousands invested for retirement, that truck loan was an absolutely terrible financial decision. I hope people watching don't make a similar mistake.
Just bought my 2020 Chevy 1500 custom V8 5.3l. I negotiated it down to $33,000. Don’t have all the bell and whistles. Pretty much everything I need for me! I pay $460/month. Plus add gap and extra warranty. I love my Chevy! I traded my 02 avalanche for $3,000, so I used that for down. Best experience I ever had. Sign and go! I had my avalanche for 18 years and won’t regret having another Chevy!
Invested, that money over 6 years ($1300 x 72 months @ 12% return) would be worth $141,788.58 instead of paying $93,600 ($1300 x 72 figuring 0% finance rate) for a truck that will be worth $18,000 for a total loss of $123,600 ($93,600 cost of ownership payment/insurance/fuel + $30,000 depreciation). You're too young to be taking that kind of financial loss. Depending on the interest rate of your loan his loss may be even higher.
Scott Long hey man how do i start investing any advice ?? Every month i saved around 10k and since i dont know what to do with it i just put it in the bank
You'll have to let the money sit in a mutual fund for a while, and keep contributing every month. Look into Vanguard no load funds. There's a lot of videos about picking mutual funds. You can view their historical return % and pick one that is a constant performer.
Holy Moly! That’s a lot of money per month. How many months is your loan for? 60, 72, 84 months? It’s all fun and games until you realize your 55 and you have no money for retirement.
The way I look at it is this; if you buy a new car you should have some experience working on them, that way you can do your own preventative maintenance and all maintenance in general so you’re not stuck by the side of the road in a car that you bought used for 6 or 7k from someone who beat the shit out of it because you don’t know! A new one, you DO know, what you see is what you get. Secondly you have to manage your finances, if you can comfortably afford it then go for it. I’m a contractor and I don’t have the time to fix “little things” on a used car and we all know they are NEVER little things, the time adds up to fixing someone else’s mistakes. Thirdly, used cars don’t have a warranty, you can’t bring it back if your transmission goes to shit, it might as well be a lawn ornament. Most new cars have a 60k transmission and drive train warranty, if mine fucks up it gets fixed with no money loss. It all adds up to your lifestyle and that’s my opinion on it
Guys before you go to dealership make sure you do your homework.. I recently bought a 2019 Silverado high country 6.2 sticker asking price 68k . got it for 55k !!!
YOLO. Enjoy your life buddy, money comes and goes. Your enjoyment is priceless to yourself not others. You aren’t married to the car, it’s disposable, therefore that debt can be gone within a year if you want.

if you can afford the payment with no worries and have money for yourself go for it... watched dave ramsey in high school and i always thought he is a greedy cheap person, a month or year isn’t promise to us, i love cars driving a nice truck is something to be proud of especially young... i had a 19 high country for a loaner and LOVED it looking into buying when i’m 20 hopefully... just turn 19 yesterday lol...
@Mark Derix Maybe your payment term is longer. If you get a 72 month loan on 45k its 686 a month. A 60 month loan with similar APR is 811 a month. Also he rolled negative equity into the loan. So he's paying on what he lost in value on his old car along with what he currently owes on the current truck he has.
@iwoww 562 It's lots of places. Just look. I'm not including taxes and insurance here though, but most don't include insurance and personal property tax (if their state has it) into their car payment either
@@crunchyblack2224 I got 2018 LTZ 100 year edition. just a special edition they only sold last year. They took $10,000 off and then i put down 10, so yeah that has helped immensely with my payments. It comes fully loaded with everything you can get on LTZ. I think the original price was around 60k.
Just bought this same truck yesterday. They had it marked 30% off msrp. Total out the door for the truck $32000 including all taxes and fees. And yes the truck is new had 206 miles on it.
Dayum bro i pay 625$ a month with gap i have 2019 z71 RST with leather and fog lights and 3piece rear window ect my sticker price was 55k i put 10k down dropped it to 45k didnt pay tax or license 45k divided by 72 = 625$ and i got the 0% interest
David Sandoval my truck was about 13k less then yours after the insentives. I would’ve taken the 0 percent but the insentives were better value for me especially being that I’m not going to have it the full 72. Currently at a 5.99 percent before refinancing which if I kept that APR would be somewhere around 9k in finance fees over the span of 72 months which equates to about the same as 0 percent. Where do you live where there’s no sales tax?
Mark Brenner im in cali bro but i told them ill take the truck but im not paying taxes so dealer said fine we'll pay the taxes they ended up losing big on that deal follow my IG bro @david2615__
@@thatjlyn by shopping around. I looked a ford 150 that was more money. I took the deal to the Chevy dealer and told then do better. I really wanted the RST. The Chevy dealer matched ford and where the 150 had running boards, Chevy let me pick out some for the RST free. Chevy treated me very well. Also I started shopping months ahead. Every month they run deals. It comes down to timing and have two similar vehicles in mind and see who works with you.
Did you finance with GM Financial to get the discount? I did and then immediately refinanced with a credit union. GM’s interest rate was almost 8% Also, how many months is your loan?
Nice. I did an 84 month which got the rate a little higher. So what was sticker price vs final price on the truck? I want to know how good of a deal you got after all the incentives. lol I was $53.9k to 41.3k. All the bells and whistles I got inflated that initial sticker price I’m sure. But $12.6k in savings was pretty solid in March of that years truck.
Gavina Reyes $7600 bucks down/ 30 year mortgage/ $1300 bucks a month... do your research before you fire shots, obviously you didn’t when over paid for that truck and rolled over bad debt.. just a friendly idea about where to invest money.. sorry you took it the wrong way.
Best thing to do is save and buy cash. I recently bought a clean 1 owner 2009 Nissan Titan Crewcab with 128k miles for 7k cash. Will last me at least till 250k miles and NO car payments! Might not have all the bells and whistles of a new truck but with all the money in saving on monthly payments I can customize it they way I want it.
Jesse Manzo the funny thing is that a lot of these new cars go out of style within a couple years. Then people want the newest one so they Trade it in, and get yourself in a deeper whole
I got my 2019 Chevy lt all star 4x4 5.3l 4.2 ratio, Max tow package, 20 inch custom rims, with more interior options then his, brand new 17 mi. On od. 40000 out the door price(that's how you say it when you don't let dealerships tak on made up fees and costs that they are responsible for.) My monthly is 534 and the taxes were 900 bucks 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂🤣🤣😂
Wow that's higher than I was expecting. I bought a '17 Silverado High Country right when the '18's hit the lot. I got 20% off mrsp and got 17k for my trade in leaving me with a 41k loan (68k MRSP, add taxes/fees and interest). Over a 5 year schedule, with a 5 point something interest rate (had the option of 0% financing or 20% off MRSP, did the math and the 20% off was way better in the long run) my payments are still only like $670 ish a month ($330 and change bi weekly). Only way id buy a truck these days is to wait for the big sales like i did. There just too much money otherwise!
I pay 600 a month for mine and it has z71 package, I traded in a camaro got + $1000 thankfully also bought a demo with $12,000 off of the 48k asking price
What’s the purchase price dude lol. Don’t include the tax and fees and all this bullshit. That’s how dealers trick you. When I got my Accord. I told them I needed the car for this price and then I started talking about my trade in and down payment. My car’s Msrp is 33k I got it for 28k which isnt that bad I think. You gotta always target 10-15% on cars and trucks you gotta target 15-20% off Msrp. Ram is offering $15k off Msrp if not more :). I hope this helped. I like your videos!
$800 payment for a un reliable truck. GM got to be out of their mind!! My 95 Chevy 1500 was under $25,000 back then and is truly a work horse yea I got to replace some minor stuff here and there but it’s 24 years old. The new ones got problems every month. Sad..
I bought an RST with rougly same pkg as you, MSRP was 48k, my sell price was 36k with fees 41k, I put 9k down so financing 32k....purchase on Aug 4 th 2019....great truck only wish I got a 2500...I live in long beach 10.25% tax!.....sucks
I got my 2019 RST Silverado Crew Cab Z71 with everything but leather for like $41,650 Sales Price. MSRP $54,100. Paid like $850 in taxes because I had equity in my other 17 Silverado. I live in Texas so maybe cheaper. I talked them down like $1500 off there asking sales price. Didn’t get Gap due to having equity. My payments like $440 monthly. I’ll post a video soon. I love the truck. Bad azz truck you got bro. Calif expensive. Do you bro if you can afford it go for it. Oh and my insurance went down $28 a month some how I guess due to Saftey features.
Sweet, another RST Z71 owner. Looking forward to seeing your ride! I went with Summit White. I have a few mods for it on my channel if you want to check them out. :)
Being a truck owner isn’t cheap and if your like use that turns it into a hobby, it gets expensive but it’s better than spending money on alcohol or weed!!!!
@@maraujo83 Thanks Boss....congratulations on the big family....ya dont hear that anymore....I have a Colorado now its leased and was thinking about the Z but dont know if its worth the $ fir the upgrade or should I just save the$ and keep the LT package.....
Dope videos. Looks like you’re in SoCal like me. I’m getting a Silverado and can’t decide between the trim (RST w some add on grille and tires/rims VS LT trail boss w that back dual exhaust)... Looking at the T. rex grilles lately ... love the dual exhaust look on the back but it looks like Chevy doesn’t let you get that option if you put 22’s on it ... Any suggestions ?
People complaining this kid spends $800/month. I know a lot of people who spend that amount on beer cigarettes and weed that complain they will never be able to own a new truck because they don’t make enough. That being said I got mine in October same thing but double cab long box instead of crew cab short box and got it for $10k less. Oct nov and dec they’ve been running crazy deals.
I'm almost done paying off my shitty 2014 Hyundai and lemme tell ya....never again. Anyone who buys a car is a fool. Oh and have fun paying for those pricey "synthetic only" oil changes ;)
$810 a month. No factory box liner wow. Seems more like a all star scam by gmc. Trucks are ridiculous for pricing today and the people that’s willing to pay good for them.
Drive out price for mine 2019 chevrolet 1500 lt trail boss 49500.00. I pay 654 a month and insurance is 82.53 a month. No trade in. Put down 10k. Msrp on truck was 58892. My interest rate is 2.99 60 months
I feel your pain with the dog hair, I have a full on black interior and I have a full white Siberian husky 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ needless to say I completely gave up on trying to get all the dog hairs out lol I will clean it and still have hairs here and there
Not gonna lie man I think you got ripped. Sweet truck and with negative equity there is a way to do it if you get enough off the truck. I was 9k upside down on a 2018 jeep that only had 8k miles on it cause of so many horrible problems and recalls with the new jeeps I didnt even wanna drive the thing. Went to the right guy at the right time and I just got the same truck exactly just in white and walked out the door for a bit over 48k and payments are only 650 a month. Only 50 more then the jeep cost me So there is definitely a way to do it. My question is what size tire are you running that it started rubbing? I wanna get a set of bigger more aggressive tires but I want to powder coat my stock rims and I definitely dont wanna rub?
I traded in my 2003 Chevy Silverado with 3 dents, paint peeled off everywhere, needs brakes and tires, busted right front door, bad carpet with 135000 miles and got $5500 from the dealer!
I'm just curious about the tire rub. I have a '19 and I'm looking at going with a Fuel Maverick 20x9 with a Nitto Ridge Grappler 295/65/20. Do you think I'll have a rubbing issue? What do you plan on doing to fix your rubbing issue?
