Your Guidi 788z looks like ostrich leg leather given the grain pattern. Note that not all ostrich has the commonly associated quill socketing pattern, and often designers look to source cuts from the semi-quill or smooth sections of the hide to separate their designs from the overly western wear look. Ostrich is a highly durable skin, even when split, and can be compared similarly to kangaroo or bison.

Definitely start checking out vintage military boots.. You can find a bunch of different silhouettes from different military's around the globe, and can get a nice pair for $50-$100.

Guidi's I think have a bit more longevity and styling options. CCP's you almost always have to pair up with a slim or straight pair of trousers
