I’ve been wanting to make a temperature blanket for awhile and after seeing the videos from the start of yours I made the plunge to start mine. My grandpa liked to record the weather everyday and did it for about 20 years. I was able to look back at his notebooks and am currently making my blanket from his records for the first year of my life! ❤️
John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 10:9-10, 13 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Thank you for sharing. I have decided to do a historical temperature blanket. My husband and I were married in 1997 and we are coming up on our 25th wedding anniversary in May. We live in Maine so we are fortunate enough to have all 4 seasons-HOWEVER with that being said, I have decided to use the colors of our wedding and the week of our honeymoon, use the highest temp from that destination. I am very excited to see how it turns out. I am working on January right now!! Loving it so far! Happy crocheting 🧶

I started mine on the 1st. I went with the high temp just to get more colors 😂 I bought a notebook to write down the temperature for every day in case I’m busy, so that if I don’t have the time to crochet the row I at least don’t mess myself up. I’m in Indiana so right now it’s all in blue, green, and aqua. ❤️ thanks for the inspiration. Love how your blanket turned out.
I'm making one of these with my daughter this year. My color palette is going to be gray's, black, and several shades of yellow. I found a quilt in these colors and fell in love with it so this will go into that bedroom to go with the quilt. It's been great following your progress. The blanket is BEAUTIFUL! Happy New Year.

Just starting mine for 2023. I’m so happy I found your videos! I have decided to add fringe - yours is so cute!! I live in South Texas, so I chose pinks and purples for Spring/Summer with greens and blues for Autumn/Winter. Wish me luck!

One way to make smaller (and less expensive) one is to do granny squares. Each square would have 7 rows representing one week. This way you end up with 52 squares. Its also a little quicker because you're not doing long rows. So you can even do it weekly and it doesn't take a long time. Of course you have to join the squares but for me if I got behind I didn't feel the pressure of having to do so much to catch up.
This was so inspirational! I love the colors and stitch that you chose. I personally love the rougher style fringe. I'm so glad I stumbled across this video. Happy new year!
I have no idea how I found your channel but I’m glad I did! I’m definitely doing the temperature blanket! What a cool idea! I think I’ll even do this as a monthly church ladies gathering.
I sat down today and planned my temperature categories, made a little chart with tabs ready to attach my sample colours. Worked up a couple of test squares with a few different hook sizes to figure out which would give me a nice drape. I’ve never undertaken a project of this size and I’m really looking forward to the challenge! And trying to hold myself accountable for it too 🥰

Hello, I think your blanket turned out beautifully! I have been reading some reviews on the impeccable yarn by loops and threads and some have said that the yarn splits badly. Did you find that to be true? Do you like the yarn? Some also said that it gets real fuzzy. Please let me know. Thanks!
I think your temperature blanket is one of the prettiest I've seen. I love the colors. I'm planning on making one for a friend's baby. I will start on his birthday. I plan on making it to fit with drape on a toddlers bed. Still in the planning stage so thank you for all your information.
I'm so excited to watch this! I've watched all your other temperature blankets and got obsessed with them ❤ please keep making videos, I really enjoy them and you're a great content creator.
Hi. Never heard of one before Yours is nice. You should cut the fringe according to the weather. Like a wave. Pink is hot the longest and blue is cold the shortest. Something like that.
Thanks for the tips. It's important to pick colours that you really like for the most common temperatures. I am planning to make a historical temperature scarf. If it's historical I will know exactly what temperatures there were, and what temperature range. That makes it easier to select a colour scale.
What stitch did you use? I love how it turned out. I am 3 months into my temperature blanket using granny stitch and it's already quite large, I can't imaging how it would look at 12 months. I am tempted to stop and start over using a smaller stitch. What would you suggest?
i'm doing a granny hexagon temperature blanket for my favorite place on earth, my parents house in the mountains and Im using a color palette inspired by the nature found at the house with grays, greens, blues, and some pink and plum colors! Im super excited about it!
Love this and the colors you chose! Will be making one for 2022. Just a quick question! How did you top off the last row? Still with the moss stitch? Or did you do a tighter stitch for the last row?
I have made blankets but I would out all yarn balls in a BIG BAG and when my different sizes of yarns were done, would close my eyes to pull a ball out..surprise color!!
Hi, your blanket is so gorgeous! I was wondering how do you wash it? Would a low temperature machine wash be fine? I understand it might also depend on the yarn used. Thank you!
Your temperature blanket is my favourite of those I have seen. Your colour choices are soooooooooo pretty. I like the softer hues you went with. I never wanted to make one until today. So I am off to Michaels to get Impeccable yarn. Just trying to figure out my temperature chart variation that I will need for a year. 😀. Thank you for the inspiration.
Hi how did you do at the end of every row? Did you just tie a knot to get those fringes? It is so beautiful. And also how many grams of yarn would you estimate that I would need to buy to make one of these blankets? Thanks❤️
It’s beautiful! Great job! I do like the varied lengths of the fringe. It gives it a more “natural” look to me. But I also suck at making a perfect straight cut. Lol!
I love your color scheme! Ive been thinking of doing a temperature blanket for the year my baby was born. But It’d be a lot of colors! I too live in a place where it gets above 100 below 0 within the year
Your 2021 blanket is beautiful! I made my first Temp blanket in 2019...and added some special rows...so made 2 blankets...6 months each! It turned out Beautiful and is a great memory blanket! And very warm! Joyce
The full pattern is in the description! I chained 330 sts with that yarn and hook to start. I talk about gauge and sizing your blanket in my other video linked in description too!
This might be a silly question but I’m new to crocheting and want to start this project. I’m using the same brand of yarn. Why did you use a smaller hook than the 5mm that is recommended for the size 4 yarn? I have the yarn and color scale all figured out! I’m just trying to decide what size hook to use.
I love your blanket I really do I love big blankets I like making king size blankets or queens but I really do like your blanket I love the friends on it I guess I’m saying that right but anyways I really like the colors you take care keep crocheting keep knitting and you take care have a great year
I am modeling my tempature blanket after yours this year ( I choose different colors though) but at the end of each row did you leave the ends loose to create the tassels or did you weave those in and add the tassels around at the end? Thank you! you are awesome!
I'm thinking about making one of these for 2022. I love your color scheme. I know you said you used 21 balls of yarn, do you have counts of how much of each color you got? I'm trying to buy all my yarn at once and I feel like I live in a similar climate zone. If not, no worries!
It turned out amazing! I'm doing one for 2022, and can't decide on colors. I'm in Texas so mine will be very heavy on whatever warm colors i decide to use... How much yarn did you buy to start with? I know I can always get more later, but i don't want to get too much.

Omg it came out fricken gorgeous I'm super in love with it and the fringe. And large blankets for the win, yes. As a tall girl I will not buy average throws 50x70, they are just too short my feet anway dangle out
@@LetsGetKnitFaced hey, on your scale what if it was 50 degrees exactly, did you go for the 35-50 color or the 50-60 color? I am in Montana , so think this scale should work for me as well!
did you make your first chain row count as the first day?? or do you make your first chain row and then count your 1st day as the first DC or HDC or whatever stitch row as the first day?

How do you determine which color for what day? The highest temp or what the temp is at a certain time that day? I’m about to start my first one ever and I am having trouble with it.
@@LetsGetKnitFaced when you say balls, what size? How many stitches did you do across and how did your measurements end up? I think I want mine to end up like a throw blanket.

I really want to start planning a temperature blanket for 2023, do you think the moss stitch was generally easy to continue for the whole year and adding colors?
