thank you guys for being patient with this video!! i hope you enjoy my 2023 bullet journal setup (and the mini art history lesson) ❤ what are your goals for the new year??
Finally start playing the guitar more. Thank you for your bujo ideas. This was my first year of bullet journaling and it helped me so much. All thanks to you
you're welcome I wait forever because u r my inspiration Well I have many goals like studying more, having a glow up, doing sports and having photos with my friends. Love you best wishes from Spain and happy new year!
honestly i am here for the art history content! who doesn't love learning?!? please do more and don't be afraid to show your enthusiasm for that stuff!
As an architecture student, I really love the Bauhaus inspiration! Besides the art side, I recommend everyone to look up furniture designed by the movement. Some of you would be shocked to see how many well-known products were designed in that school :D
Amanda!!! This set-up is perfect 🤩 for the new year! I love all the colors you chose and it all looks so beautiful! ( just like you ) you are the first person to inspire me to bujo! And now I even have my own bullet journaling RU-vid channel all thanks to you! I hope you have a wonderful new year! 🎉
Yeah that's true! Keep doing videos like this, because you and all your videos are beautiful this is my third year of Journaling and you're the one that inspire me❤️❤️
It took me almost 60 years to realize 3 month goals were so much more realistic than yearly resolutions. Happy for you that you figured it out much sooner😊
This is a great idea! Art history is a good topic to fall back on if you're ever having a month where you don't know what to do! I'll take it anytime! 👏
Yes please keep doing the art history lessons! I actually hadn’t heard of this movement before but am now going to look it up, it’s so fascinating! Probably one of my fave setups of yours, my fave is still the Andy Warhol one- that’s my fave art movement :)
i recently felt really unmotivated with my life these past few months, i lost track of my bullet journal :( so i decided to make a change for the upcoming new year, thank you for lowkey giving me the motivation to start getting into journaling again
Honestly, watching the creation of the journal while listening to the art history behind what you chose is honestly the best combo for my neurodivergent brain. Pretty stuff + interesting stuff = perfect combo!
In love with the colors!! I remember back in 2018-2019 when I started bullet journaling thanks to your channel and most years was always very monochrome😂 I loved it back then and still do, but I as well has grown to love more colors!
who else has been coming back to her channel all week excitedly checking for this video? So glad you’re feeling good about where you’re at mentally/creatively Amanda, we 🫶🏻 you!! 🥰
ARE YOU SERIOUS? I was just in an exhibition for Bauhaus and similar style movements of this era two weeks ago, I absolutely love the style!! Thank you, I always love when and how you do these mini educational episodes ❤
I loved the art history section, I think inspired by this and some other things I’ve heard recently I’m going to set a goal to learn arts theory including music and dance. I really loved the theme and the colour scheme you chose. Happy new year🎉,wishing you good health ,calm and order in 2023.
I found this really satisfying to watch. I also love that while you’re doodling it looks easy to follow but then it creates the most stunning picture altogether! I’m actually picking up bullet journaling for this coming year, partly because of you, so thanks for being an inspiration 😊
I started my bullet journal in may this year, I love doing it and it was my first time doing a setup for the new year and I love how mine turned out. Thank you for sharing your bullet journal ideas and motivating me to do mine.
I really love your videos and i was waiting for this one for like 2 weeks now and i am soooo happy for no reason!!! 🤗💚🧚♀️ and btw... YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
I absolutely love learning about and reading about the progress from the Art Nouveau movement to the Arts and Crafts movements to the Art Deco and Bauhaus movements. Art history is just so interesting!
this ended up looking sooooooo cool! it’s stuff like this that made me follow you years ago. the fact that you can take really simple ides and transform them into beautiful artwork is what inspired me to start my bullet journal and what keeps me coming back to your channel❤
Happy new year Amanda and the doodle community !! I can’t believe we already 2023, where was 2022 ?? Couldn’t see it 😅😅 this year I’m trying for the very first time digital planning with the doodle planner and also I’m using the same doodle notebook for the beginning of the year cause I have a lot of space 😅
Oh, I have a loooot of goals for 2023 First of all, I want to get back to bullet journaling and writing in my diary, cause I have been abandoning both for quite a lot of months, lol I also want to finish writing my book and editing some of my other books, maybe come out to my father, continue to learn Spanish (I have been taking a break from it) and get better at Russian (it's my native language, but I'm sooo bad at it, lol), and take better care of my health :D (All of these are just some of my goals, lol)
I really love the art history lessons! It enhances the experience of watching you work and knowing what brings you inspiration. If you ever wanted to sit down and teach some doodles or layout styles or what have you, and talk about where the style is coming from, I'd totally watch more. 😄
Thanks so much for the mini art history lesson. I learned something new and the movement is certainly fascinating. Your doodles also make them seem approachable and doable by a non-artist such as myself (although there must be a lot of pre-planning going on). I am excited to try doodling this way - the colors and patterns coming together are so oddly satisfying. I wish you all the best this year, especially with your health issues. My hope is that you focus on yourself a lot! And also, CONGRATULATIONS. I just read it's been 10 years since your first video upload. That is AMAZING. Major kudos to all that you have done and shared. Many thanks! GOOD LUCK and may 2023 bring you what you need.
I always enjoy all of your videos, but the art history lesson definitely made me enjoy this video a lot!! I actually graduated with a BFA in Art History with a Minor in Italian Studies and one of my goals this year is to go back to grad school and get my masters in Archives! I love Art History so much, and actually never learned about the Bauhaus movement 😮 So this was a very fun video to watch for me!! Happy New Year, Amanda!!
As an art teacher I think that you did a great job with your synopsis of the Bauhaus art movement 😊. I love setting up my bujo spreads while your videos are on, it feels like I’m having an artsy hangout with an old friend. The vibes are immaculate as always.
I love the encouragement to your followers to explore history through art. The link between the bauhaus movement and the post WW2 era is a reminder to us to learn how historical events can link across all aspects of human life not just politics but also art and literature!
I have buckets of art utensils and share same hobby with my siblings. Playing and making arts with colours is one of our therapy. I have never tried making journal. Watching this video is such an inspiration.
This setup is so fun and cute, and I love surprise history lessons, especially art history!! Art history might be fun prompts/inspo for themes in bujos, like a rococo setup might have drawn gold leafing and pastels, a classical setup might have stone pillars, ect ect. I'm not putting together a bujo at this point in time because I'm now using a more traditional planner and Notion and then like a separate journal for other things, but it's still so fun and inspiring to watch your videos :) happy 2023!!!
The setup turned out so freaking cool! 😍 I love how you get inspired from art movements and your mini history lesson is just... More of that! 😍 We used to do presentations about art and artists for a whole year in school and it was so inspiring - I really think learning about art history is so helpful to understand history in general, how art was always a presentation of what happened or a reaction to what happened. I could write about that for waaayyy to long here but it's just so fascinating! I think they uploaded lots of art documentaries to the streaming site with the n and etflix 😅 well anyway... Always enjoy your videos Amanda, they're always like a little island of selfcare to me 🥰✨ I hope you have a great 2023, especially health wise! All the best to you 🤗
So cool to watch a setup video where you are using the same bullet journal I am! I've been watching your videos for years and attempted bullet journaling in middle school for the aesthetic, but never got it. I chose to pick it up again now that I'm in high school and need more inspo, and it feels so cool to finally be making the things I see in your vids. Love your content! xx
i took a few months (read: may-december 2022) off of bullet journaling after doing it for close to three years straight and i'm excited to get back into it in 2023! it was a good reset, and while i love organization and planning it felt like a lot of pressure was lifted during this time of not writing everything down but now i'm ready to bring that structure back in my life. plus i have some super cute ideas i'm planning to use for my january theme of 'brown paper packages tied up with strings' as i manifest 2023 being the year of my favorite things! (haha, cheesy, but it's the little things in life
One of my major goals this year is to finally learn Korean. I've been meaning to for like five years and keep putting it off, so this time I made a whole spread dedicated to tracking my progress etc. It's going to happen! Lmao.
I love your mini history lessons! I went to an Andy Warhol exhibit this year because of you :) you make art seem a lot less intimidating. I would be so here if you would make this a series on you channel :D like a month that explores different art styles, maybe a new one for each week or something like that. Because you make it so approachable! :)
I love this! It’s not my taste at all but I appreciate the different style and the art history lesson! More Amanda art lessons please, hearing your passion about the history of this art movement was what actually made the design appeal to me 😅
loved this video and spread so much! it's been so amazing watching your channel evolve, i remember recreating your jan. 2019 lanterns spread.. now 4 years later you're still making quality content. thanks for everything amanda!!
My goal for 2023 will be decluttering too. The last half of 2022 was challenging for me too. Spend the last month packing moving and unpacking still and, at the same time realised so much decluttering was needed. So I totally understand. Good luck. You can do it!
Wow, this is so beautiful ❤ I usually would prefer more “cute” looking set ups but the colors and the way you spaced/laid all the designs out is just so satisfying ❤ thanks for making these videos 😊
tbh i would totally love an art history video!! If you can share your presentation or other information you've learnt, you can definietly make videos on them. I'm sure I (and others) would enjoy watching such videos!
Love all the color used in this! & I can't believe I started bujoing 4 years ago now! I thank you for all of the inspiration and joy throughout the years! Happy 2023!!
Wow!! The set up looks so cool!! I love that its inspired by history!! My goals are to workout more, and hopefully start my own youtube channel!! My laptop has been broken for so long!!! And im trying to fix it so i can be a content creator. Id also like to learn more about adhd because i recently got diagnosed and its already been wreaking havoc on my life, so im going to try to accept it this year. Id like to stop oversharing when i talk and id like to be more honest with others, because i noticed how much i lie to myself and other as far as how i feel so i want to fix it. Happy new year to everyone reading this and i can’t wait to see what next year holds for everyone!!!
this might be one of the most beautiful and visually striking themes/designs youve ever done!!!! love the art history lesson, love the colors, love the design choices ❤️ happy 2023 amanda!!
Hey Amanda! Loved the setup and loved that you went with colours. It inspired me to go bold this year and not stick to the simple minimal setups (maybe this will be reflected on my year too). Also enjoyed the mini art history verrrrry much! You should definitely start a mini art history series!!!
