Wait, isn't the other way round? In order to have a chance at winning you need to fall asleep and be mentally unstable and/or* have dementia! *you are obviously a stronger candidate if you have both.
Or a ranked choice voting system like instant-runoff. The FPTP system we use to pick MPs right now is terrible. It strongly favors established parties, because no-one is going to vote for a candidate they feel has zero hope of winning - it's a wasted vote. It also has a serious problem with vote-splitting when more than one party shares similar political stances - usually that hurts labour, the lib dems and some of the smaller parties as they compete for the left-wing vote while the Tories have all the right-wing vote unified behind them. This year has seen the tables turn as Reform seriously harmed the Tories by competing for the same voters. Instant-runoff solves those problems. It introduces new ones too, but it's still better than FPTP. Binface would have gotten a lot more votes in instant-runoff.
@@simonwoods8809 If you're electing a single person, yes, same thing and the terms may be used interchangeably. STV allows for elections with multiple winners, but there's not really any use for that in the British system. It's more interesting to Americans, where one state can elect multiple representatives. Both are forms of ranked-choice vote.
@@battmarn or just do ANYTHING to at least fund attacking the issue head on. Labour should have put that at the top of their manifesto… they won’t do shit sadly
@@des_smith7658no one should *need* to come ashore in a boat. There should be proper, safe routes for asylum seekers that are the processed promptly and either returned according to international law, or introduced to British society as useful, contributing members. What should not happen is the tory bourach of letting the cases pile up in order to create a fake problem.
We did pretty much solved it over lockdown . I guess that was only temporary, they need homelessness as a deterrent from too much free thinking. A big nasty stick or a big tasty carrot?
big love from an American, had no idea you were this real about the state of the lands we live in. homelessness is absolutely solvable! if I were British, you'd have my vote! all hail the Count! :3
thank you for the important and genuinely useful advice for the new pm ❤ and so kind of you to graciously let him take your rightful place so you can focus on touring the country. today the uk, tomorrow the milky way!
@@italifacts1461 Sure, if you _happen_ to be one of the 73860 registered voters in Richmond and Northallerton. _Most_ people are *not* one of those constituents. 🙄
Your Intergalactic Greatness, We Salute You - congratulations on doing the honourable thing and not using mind-control to influence the electorate, this level of fairness and decency is refreshing compared to the last 14 years! See you in Q324 (minor planet orbiting Junction 13 of Transgalactic Super Motorway) - oh, and also on tour 👍
I’m very surprised that the count ) pun intended ( was so low. If I was the count I think I’d be instructing my legal team to investigate potential vote rigging. Count Bin face has got to be the most serious candidate on the ballot paper!
I recommend that the nation's disenfranchised homeless be registered to vote in the Prime Minister's constituency. If this had happened you would have won by the biggest margin ever recorded. I will be writing to Sir Keir to recommend that if he fails to solve homelessness he must adopt my recommendation.
Why did no-one tell me Count Binface had a YT channel?! It's a galactic oversight, someone needs to pay for this! Congratulations on your historic win! Well, on the win that should have been yours.
The funniest thing about this ceefax promise is that most TV's can still get the updated he version of ceefax/teletext. You just need to know how.. Smart tv's have a constant internet connection. while connected the tv will prioritise red button services which are online over text services. If you have a text button on your remote it likely does nothing..... Until the tv is disconnected from the internet... At that point all red button services are inaccessible and the teletext\ceefax will be accessible from the text button on the remote.
I was homeless for 2 years in my teens. You will not ever end homelessness. Many are there by choice or because they repeatedly refuse help available. Yes there's factors behind that sort of behaviour and mindset but only they can overcome that. They have to want to change, they have to want to put the work in. I'm dismayed at the state of the nation but I have a family to provide for and that's something that pushes me so I'll never deliberately be in that position again.
I think I’m in love! If you ever need a recycling bin sidekick, I’m in the next contituency. lol. I will make you tea and cake and always take you out on the correct bin day. 😂
Electoral asteroid 👽thank you for your humour, it was so welcome and well needed in the dullness of political hell on earth. Happy intergalactic travels utilising #308fuel.
Interesting when a party with a bin for a head .. speaks with more reason and clarity - than the Tory party (any member) ... congratulation on the voteshare .. well deserved!
Just imagine what that 308 is going to look like on your next @StandUpMaths accurate political chart! Congratulations Count, and here's wishing you the best of luck with your satirical sci-fi comedy show! 👏🤞🇬🇧
I would have voted for you as well if I had the chance, but apparently being a resident in the UK for close to a decade, and having the permanent residence status is not enough to grant me the right to vote in a general election.
Keep campaigning Count Binface. You speak the truth, and i am sure that you will hold those in power to account. I am not being sarcastic. I truelly believe that you will play your part in a better future for us all. I salute you.
