sorry, i already left a comment, but compared to the perfectly calm, neutral gray tones only, "aesthetic" planner videos that are perfectly scripted, this is a joy and a breath of fresh air. it's so nice seeing someone excited about their new tools! if you ever wanted to make videos just chatting about your life and your planner feelings, i'd totally watch.
Don’t ever be sorry for leaving comments here, especially such kind ones! I am incredibly appreciative as a new creator, especially because I’ve been pressuring myself to script everything out of a worry that if I waste people’s time they’ll stop watching, so your comment has really given me some confidence :’) and thank you for the great tip to remember dreams! Unfortunately my work schedule and thusly wake-up time varies a lot so I don’t really have a time I naturally wake up😭
Thank you!! I do too and have written “no memory” for the two mornings I’ve been able to write in it, but I hear writing them down helps you remember them…I just hope that kicks in soon😅
@@papelesdeelib i love your video so far! i'm a first time hobonichi user and i ordered late so i'm watching vicariously through others till i can get my hands on my own 😆if you want to remember your dreams, simply set a gentle alarm for 30 minutes before your natural wake up time and your body will be more likely to remember what it was doing during the REM stage.
I feel you 100%, I don't do drugs, but dude. Sometimes, it's like, man people are going to think I'm on a good one! I get sooooooooooo excited for stationery, so I feel you, I totally GET IT! Thanks for the super happy and excited and sugar induced unboxing!
I know nothing about Hobinichi, but this was still the most enjoyable unboxing I've ever watched! I love seeing someone as enthusiastic about their hobbies as I am. LOL
Such a high compliment, thank you! I am extremely excitable and thought that energy might work well channeled (pun unintended I SWEAR) into RU-vid😅 May I ask how you ended up here as a non-Hobonichi-lover? And what those hobbies that get you excited are?
@@papelesdeelib Early 2023 I still used Archer&Olive notebook because their paper are good quality. But it is hard to have them sent here to my country. Then I stumbled upon the other side of planner tube.. the hobonichis.. and decided to give one a try. But it cost a fortune to buy them here from local “resellers” .. so I asked a friend to buy them for me directly from Tokyo. It’s a bit late. But if that cuts the cost by half.. I take it.
Sorry you are so chaotic YOU ARE TOO FUNNY. This is definitely not a hobonichi newbie friendly video, I can imagine the overwhelm, but I cracked up multiple times!
I’m so happy you enjoyed the energy!! I know what you mean about not being newbie-friendly, unfortunately at came to me a little too late…that’s why I’m considering making a quick “explaining my Hobonichi purchases” video😅
loved tour unscripted enthusiasm! you got so much stuff that is so exciting! and don’t worry, ita never too late to get your hobonichi, i’m ordering mine until february 1st because the cover i wanted sold out and that is the re-stock date
Girl!!!! I am LIVING for this chaotic energy!! It feels like I’m listening to a friend! I’ve watched many hobonichi unboxing (but you already knew that) but I’m glad that my “just one more video” was yours because the realness was perfectly calming. Exactly what I signed up for 🎉🎉🎉
i love this!! im using two (technically three) jibun_techo planners, one that has more of a weekly set up, and another that has a more in depth daily set up. the year is split up in half (one planner is jan-jun, the other jul-dec) so technically it is two planners :3 i’m so so excited to fill them up, but i’m definitely jealous of your haul. though i do like jibun_techo’s setup, im 100% going to consider hobonichi for next year. so glad i found your channel :))
Also I just placed my order last night! Money issues until December, then just too busy to choose my lineup. And no shipment hold this year, so I agonised a lot over my choices!
Your personality is amazing. Please don't feel the need to script your videos - your happiness and joy is infectious! It's like I'm listening to my sisters. ❤
that’s soooo cool to hear, especially bc this video had already been on RU-vid for a bit by the time you left this comment, and I thought it wouldn’t continue being promoted to people since I stopped posting for a month😅 thank you for telling me that, so motivating🥰
@@papelesdeelibhmm. Good point. My Japanese is okay phonetically, but reading and writing it is another story. Do you think I would still be okay with that? Also, I was interested in the weeks, but I have and use a travelers notebook with a monthly and weekly with memo insert, which is basically the same thing. The part that drives me crazy is for journaling, I have lined and grid inserts that I use for all types of things, plus journaling and it's a mess. So the more I learn about Hobonichi the more I think the original or hon would be the way to go. But then I think, well a6 would be what I would like, but it's not a ton of space and I don't have tiny handwriting, so I'll have to oddly write on top of the grid, using it only to keep me straight, and so on and so on. A page a day should be okay in a6, but idk I am losing my mind, but you're right, april start, so now I have to decide fast. Ugh. Help
@@XtianApi Here are my thoughts: You could have 0 knowledge of Japanese and still enjoy Hobonichi! The most important parts of a planner are represented by numbers, but even the Japanese-language Hobonichi planners have the months and days of the week listed in English, so you're good there ¨̮ I do think that a Weeks in combination with a TN monthly&weekly+memo inserts would be redundant unless you're super clear about the specific uses for each. The Weeks fits perfectly in a regular size TN so maybe you could even carry it all together and use the Weeks for work and the inserts for personal or vice versa! Also, the English Hobonichi Planner (the one with the black cover) has a more generous grid than the other Hobonichi books, so it's possible that it'd be able to contain your writing¨̮ But even if not, perhaps a Day-Free would be best for you, so that you could always take more space on another page when you need it instead of being confined to a single page for a day. Of course, you could always go with an A5 for more space per page, but you've already said you like the A6 and I find the size to be so much more convenient. And perhaps your journaling tends to get messy because inserts aren't structured enough! The structure of a-page-a-day with Hobonichi Original/Planner/Cousin or even a year in one book of the Day-Free options may be enough structure to keep your journaling more organized. You said you needed to decide quickly so I'm probably too late to be of help!! Sorry I suck at responding to comments. and texts. and emails.... regardless, I'd love to hear what you ended up deciding upon ¨̮
@@papelesdeelib wow, what a great reply! Thank you. So, I've needed to go to the eye doctor for awhile anyway, so I am doing that and shrinking my writing down a bit. It's not too hard. I, so far, am starting with the techo original a6, but I believe I will quickly decide if I should just go for the cousin. As I've been waiting for delivery I have thought of ways I could use all the cousin sections to improve day to day life. It still seems odd they don't have an a5 techo without the 52 spreads for vertical weeks. I thought at first vertical weeks were useless for me, but they aren't bad when combined with daily pages. A week's in a tn. Huh, that is an interesting thought. I haven't wrapped my head around the long for week layout (week+memo or weeks) and daily pages. Transitioning from weekly memo to a daily page seems odd to me, despite that format drawing me into all of this. But anyway... I didn't know about the English in the Japanese techo, that's great to hear. Otherwise, I don't know what I am rambling about. Thank you for the great reply. Edit: oh yeah, day free. I think the day free gives me excuses to skip days. Maybe after I develop a steady routine. Thank you!
Girl i feel ya! I filmed back in September, still havent edited/posted it. I still may after seeing yours. I've had all my planners for months & still havent moved in for 2024. Totally slacking😅
How many hobonichi unboxings have you watched: yes Tbf i knew i had to wait to order mine and it was a joy to see what everyone else was getting. Even if my shopping list grew with it. Really enjoyed your reactions ❤❤❤
This was so cute to watch! I absolutely love your enthusiasm, it's so reassuring to see someone else react like that to paper 😅❤ I started watching this video a few days after you posted it but I've been rewatching it slowly to keep me motivated! (Exam season at uni right now ahahah) xx
Us planner people understand your joy. A beautiful haul. I ordered a lot from Hobonichi this year but strangely enough I only got a weeks planner and the rest were accessories. I usually go with the A5 Cousin but wanted to try the B6 Sterling Ink this year.
you are right - I have watched 50 hobonichi unboxings because I love Hobonichi too. And I love your video and all your excitement. It is exactly how I feel when I unpack mine too!!
