Hi, Kori! At 12:26 from top right going anti-clockwise, you have a pink bird with blue markings nibbling at a twig, a little mouse, hunched up and nibbling at a grain, a pink carnation, bottom left, heading right, a little terrier with pointy ears, a stumpy tail and a bow under its chin, a 1970's troll with long, sticking up hair, and a girl looking right, wearing a hat with a pink bow, and her hair in a loose 'bun' on the nape of her neck, circa early 950's. _"I'm just kind of playing around with it. Not everything in a Sketchbook, like I said, is Art sometimes it's just practice."_ Hmm. 🤔Sometimes, when we are 'just practising', we turn out a gem of a piece, as you have done in some cases here. Eg at 7.59 , 11:18 , (a shame that you spoiled the one at 13:47 with splatter!). 14:58 , 16:53 . They are clean and fresh, and as with all your paintings, the colours are truly lovely together. So my feeling is that all practice is art, and all art is practice. 😄 Maybe a fun idea for 2024 would be to choose a different colour palette and play with those? Many thanks for sharing this with us! Being someone who has been over-sated ( _over-supplied with more of something than is desired or can be managed._ -Oxford definition) with a plethora of 'loose florals' across ArtTube and on my home page (like a full Christmas dinner every day for a year!!!), it says a great deal when I say that this was really enjoyable!!! 😊

I appreciate your suggestions, though I wouldn't say I ruined a piece with splatter. Sometimes I like splatter lol. All art is technically practice, as we are always improving. while I totally agree I should try another palette, I also think it's about joy and what brings that joy. For me, using those colors is what inspires me, and I don't want to force a palette on myself that takes away from what I do enjoy creating.

No question of "Should". Just "Maybe a fun idea..." I love the colours you've used. And yes, I have a friendly curiosity to see what you would choose, and how you would work it out, because your current choices work so well together, and your colour choices in your adult colouring books are always so 'spot on'. Yes sketchbooks are great just to play in I had a friend the dromar family recommend your channel to means I was like I already watch her coloring channel lol ❤

Oh that was sweet of them. I agree, your sketchbook shouldn't have to be pretty all of the time. It's more about play and experimentation.
