Very beautiful collection. I am envious. How do you protect the succulents on rainy days ? Will they rot if there is ( rain ) water in centre of the rosette ?
Very useful the knowledge that you have shared for the beginners like me. May i ask, is there a dormant season for the succulents?? I mean no changes at all but they're good
hello mam I like your vids thank you po. Just curious lang po pag nag eestablish palang po ng roots ung plant mga gano po katagal gagawin ung controlled watering? thank you po
For most of them i water usually every 4-5 days for bigger pots and every 3-4 days for smaller pots. But i still have to check my soil if its still moist. If so i skip a day. Or their leaves are still plump. I skip a day.
Anjenette Lumbera i use it all throughout po. And do one soak and dry every month. I noticed that when i reach around 40-50 ml already it is sufficient for na plant na coz my leaves are chubby and the plant is healthy. I decided tocome up with controlled watering to minimize the risk of over watering. Because for me, its easier to add more if they still need more.. the only thing will happen if i water less is that they get wrinkly leaves. So i can always adjust and add more vs. if i dont control my water then tend to die fast. :)
@@dorothymercadotscp thanks! I have been using controlled watering but instead of syringe i uses a spray bottle with the nozzle adjusted so it wont turned as a mist. But prolly 12 days ago boredom got me putting additional toppings (perlite) and same as you I am giving a good soak once in a while. I soak them three days ago and I am kinda worried because it is still as wet as three days ago, it seems that only a bit of the water have evaporated. I live in batangas and it really hot in here now and I am expecting them to dry faster but they don't. Do you have any recommendation? I already removed some of the top dressing sacrificing easthetics. Can you suggest anything? Thank you so much! I subscribed to your channel because it is giving me much info on how to keep my succs alive in lowland. Thank you so much!
It could be 2 things.. severely dehydrated or dead roots so the plant can drink from the roots so its drinking from the leaves.. so observing the plant if given a little water if it bounces back means roots are fine so go ahead and give more water. :)
The Succulent Club Philippines Thank you! So happy to find your FB group and Channel. Am a newbie (3 months) and so far only managed to kill 1 out of 12 small succulents. If this one has dead roots then that’s 2 out of 12.
