For anyone looking to learn Powershell, I cannot recommend enough a book called Learn Powershell in a Month of Lunches. I read this book and was able to practice Powershell via ISE in my work organization and feel incredibly confident in learning new languages now. Highly recommend!
This video shows that you are really great at telling your own story in a professional, captivating, instructive and beneficial way first to the world and especially to the up and coming cybersecurity newbies and those nerds seeking to upscale their career. The way you chronicle your impactful journey is a testament to the fact that nothing good comes easy. You really earned your achievements both career and academic while staying really humble. You deserve true congratulations.
Nobody really knows what they're doing. Incredible story of persistence, and I feel encouraged that with my ~5 years of experience in security, I can still rediscover myself and pursue that which I desire.
I have subscribed to your channel iapprox almost a year and never knew you were my neighbor i am from Gambia actually and happy and love to see that my fellow young west African brother doing great in the same field of interest. it has been a real inspiration since I came across your cyber lab that a colleague suggested and I have been watching your growth. Dude this is such an empowering and motivating video. Im about to finish my associates in Cyber Security, im studying my ass off, working at a shop full time. Its funny the only people that are negative and downers about cyber security are the ones who don't work in the field 😂. Thanks man
Great one Day! 2 Take-Aways here and i will put them in quotes 1. There is no elevator to Success, you have to take the stairs. 2. A diamond is a chunk of coal that did well under pressure. And Day, you are a true Diamond. Shine on!
Just beginning my journey but your story is definitely an encouragement for me to keep pushing, any guides or recommendations from you will be great! Thanks for sharing
Really enjoyed the breakdown of your cybersecurity journey. Currently starting on my own journey on that path as well! Best wishes to you day! Keep making these great videos!
Hi Day. Been following your videos for a while. I was shocked when you said you were from Nigeria. Would never have believed it. LOL Glad to see a fellow Nigerian doing exploits. Keep up the good work Brother
I wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your journey. I would say the biggest factor I liked about your story was your determination. I love hearing things like that since it motivates me. I’m currently lucky to go from IS&T intern to a IT Technician II. I think the hardest part to IT besides needing to be motivated is finding the path to go down. There are so many fields and specializations. I’m currently learning SQL and want to do something with Cybersecurity. Anyways great video!
What a great journey bro! Hearing your story is inspiring! Keep growing until you hit the ceiling and break through that as well! Listening to you helps keep myself motivated that hopefully one day soon, I will be able to get in cyber security and start my journey as well.
Have followed you for a bit now. Have based my studies a lot from what you recommend. Congrats on the citizenship man! I look forward to your videos a lot. Plan to get in cloud security as well but first I need to land a SoC haha.
Congratulations 🎉. Welcome brother. 🇺🇲. I truly believe that every native born citizen should have to live in another country for one year. So they can appreciate what they have, and what they so sadly take for granted
Your story if very inspiring, Am trying to get into cybersecurity myself and into cloud in the near future . Have started learning for my Security+ exams i got some few questions for your though wish I could get the chance to speak them out to you. Continue doing a good Job and congratulations 🎉once again to you.
I think that what a lot of people call luck is simply opportunity and in many cases opportunities they don't have. Having more or different opportunities than someone else doesn't mean that you haven't earned your place or had an easier path IMO. To be specific I don't think you got any job because of luck. Were there potentially better or more experienced candidates? No doubt but you likely had someone with some degree of previous knowledge of you willing to give you an opportunity based on your hard work or other things they knew about you.
