Roth limits are going up another $500 in 2024. Depending on your income level you could contribute up to $7k.

I once had $45,000 in credit card debt 😑🙃😫 (I know embarrassing). It took me 3 years to get rid of. The first $25,000 took me 1.5 yrs to get rid of. The time frame you are targeting is doable. Best of luck 😊.

Budget closeout is a weak point of mine. I don't even think I did 3 for the year, so I need to put that as a goal for myself as well. Great video.

Thank you for being so transparent. It's not easy to admit having a substantial amount of credit card debt. I think about all the people in New Orleans who don't have anything to fall back on.

Hi Aliana, your video helps me a lot in overall life organization. I follow your videos and customise according to my needs. I suggest that Debt reduction tracker and savings tracker could fit into one page if it is in table format. Saves time flipping.

I am a single mom currently retired, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, I decided to stay on the sideline for awhile, now I’m worried with the numerous bank failures as of late, am I better off reinvesting my savings in the stock market or do I wait?

was in a similar boat and have just recently stated regular deposits into Vanguard. If things start to look less volatile and I feel more confident I can top it up more then. The way I look at it is, with inflation I’m losing a chunk of cash every year I don’t invest and I think over the next few months seems a great opportunity to

Hey Alaina, just a quick questions on the creditcards as it works a bit different here in Germany. In the live video you said, that you have some savings for bigger but not regular things and you use credit card not so often, mostly for points. Is it an option to put those savings on a prepaid credit card or do they not have a good interest rate/are not common in the US?

So with our credit cards we can get rewards from using them. These rewards are points that we can use for flights or hotels. So if you pay off your credit cards on time it’s basically free money. It only works if you pay it off on time though…😭 Otherwise you are charged interest each month.

@@TheOrganizedMoney That I get, but there aren't any prepaid credit cards that accumulate interest for you? It's only the debt side or stricktly paying it off? Just on a quick look, I could get one here from VISA, that gives me miles&cash back, and is prepaid, so no debt.

This video was so helpful! I was wondering how do you account for interest on your Debt Reduction Tracker. You have a starting balacnce and you make payments each month but interest also is added so how would we enter for each month?

If you look at your bill, you could calculate the finance charges, probably annual and divide by 12. Take the payment and subtract the finance charges ...which gives you the amount actually credited to the balance.

So a balance of $1000 at 20%, is $200. per year, divided by 12, to calculate 16.66 per month. If the payment were $30. minus 16.66 the actual decrease in the balance would be 13.34......legalized loan sharks. Debt is very hard to pay off, and so quick to add up.

Credit card rates are crazy right now! Most of mine are 28-33%. I just don’t get it how they are so high; paying back the balance plus all those fees is insane so I’m afraid to carry a balance, but know I have them if I really need them.
