Hey Bharat one major red flag I personally see in your portfolio is incorrect diversification of your equity holding. Close to 50% of your money in in Tesla, if Tesla goes down your portfolio will be down badly. And same with the other Dividend stocks as well. Just wanted to point it, but I suspect you already know it, if you do can you please share your rational behind it? Cheers and love your content!

“Diversification is protection against ignorance” If I would diversify the 50k I put in Tesla in underperforming assets just for the sake of it or a broad index fund, it wouldn’t double the money. Invest in great companies and the Tesla is the greatest ever built which still hasn’t reached 30% of its potential. Not going to diversify. MSCI World is already more diversification than I like.

the german idea of investing is putting money into a passbook savings account. Retail investing on different platforms is not something that is widely done, it def makes you an outlier in Germany.

But having a debt is not bad at all. Look at all the countries and big companies like Amazon Google and Facebook. They all have more DEBTS than anyone ever can imagine. Having such cash flow generating assets could literally help you double the money every year with right investment decisions in real estate 🏡 what is your opinion on having debt on real estate and renting it out and pay your debts through rents?

I wonder how your taxes look like in regards to your rental income. Is it taxed at your normal German income tax bracket or are there tax incentives for passive income and real estate in Europe just like the US. Like I know many investors in the USA invest in real estate because of the huge tax benefits and I wonder if such a thing exists in Germany or in Europe in general.

In Germany there isn’t a difference between passive and earned income. Everything is taxed under the income tax tariff, except capital gains, which is lower.

Hi, I have recently started investing in scalable capital through you videos. I have free broker account. I have 2 questions: 1. Are there additional charges for USD ETFs in scalable capital? I was planning to buy 'Vanguard S&P 500 UCITS ETF - (USD) Accumulating' for earning some dividend, but while buying it shows fees of around 3-4 €. 2. today I saw that 4 cryptocurrencies are available in scalable capital which was not present yesterday. Does that mean now we can buy direct cryptocurrency from scalable ? and do we need a separate wallet for storing these coins? P.S.: thank you so much for sharing your experiences in investment in Germany, really helpful.. :)

For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement.
