Does happy files allow us to download all the main and original pictures of WP media library to a folder in my computer. What do you suggest for doing that?

Hello and thank you for the video. Any chance you do a video detailing which Plugins or types of Plugins are now longer needed in 2022 since Wordpress itself has evolved and includes features that were only available via a Plugin? our site was designed in 2015 and has had incremental plugins added and remove since, but I often wonder if we can remove some of the Plugins to speed up and secure the site (Blog and Woocommerce store) better. It would be helpful if Worpress upgrades came with details on which plugins features they've incorporated into the program so you no longer need to add the plugin.

In case he doesn't see this, you could go over to the wordpress subreddit and provide a list of your plugins there. People would be happy to tell you what is/isn't needed along with the current version of wordpress

Autoptimize and something like Freesoul Deactivate Plugins to remove undeeded scripts from your pages.

@@WPTuts in your opinion, should I purchase lifetime deal for WpVivid for unlimited sites? Pcloud and WpVivid combination make sense is it?

@@AadityaSharmas I can't tell you it's right for you. All I can say is that I purchased the LTD for WPVivid and 2TB storage on pCloud and use them both regularly. WPV has saved my bacon on more than one occasion, especially the backup before update feature. That's been a godsend for sure.

Autoptimise is great if you are on a tight budget, but Perfmatters is a simpler, cleaner plugin over WPRocket. :)

So, if I may ask, how do you know that all these different plugins are compatible and dont interfere with each other? Some plugins have similar features, e.g. lazy load,etc. so how do you make sure these plugins work smoothly alltogether?

I use them all on pretty much every site and haven't had any issues yet. As for overlapping features, there aren't too many and you should be able to spot them relatively easily as they are generally disabled by default.

don't a lot of these plugins overlap. For instance, I use Swift Performance for caching and it has many of the autoptimise? I optimize my images in advance...how would WPCompress help?

Hey Michael, thanks for the comment and question. The main takeaway from the video is that these are my preference and recommendations. If you’re finding Swift is working well, stick with it. A tool like WP Compress is very useful for not only compressing your images but also generating WebP versions and optimising the additional files that WP generates when an image is uploaded. Optimising your images before uploading is good practice (as pointed out during the video), but it won’t help with the files WP creates for every image upload. Do you need a tool like WP Compress? No. But it does have benefits if you need them. I hope that helps? 😁

Some webhost companies can give you the service of malware control ¿What is your opinion about this? ¿Do I need to install the security plugin anyway?

There's a difference between malware scanning and a security tool like iThemes or Wordfence. While they may offer malware scanning options, that are more focused on ensuring known vulnerabilities are protected, brute force login attempts are managed and more. So, in my opinion, yes, you still need a security plugin even if your hosting company has malware monitoring. :)

@@WPTuts yes, how do you tackle emails going to SPAM and I'm using mailpoet service which can be used to send WordPress transactional email and even woocommerce emails for free
