For real though! Mine just turned 2 and painted a GORGEOUS purple and blue watercolor with lines and blobbies and it was the freaking coolest Mothers Day gift ever. It's literally framed on my wall and I don't care if anyone thinks it's lame, it's perfect.

As someone with a mother like her that (even tho I’m 15) still holds me and just goes “AHHHH I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU SO MUCHIE” every day - it really is more impactful on personality and character than people might think! This much love and connection in my life has made me who I am! And also gives me a standard in future relationships, because I know my worth and that a bland relationship without clear love isn’t a good one!

This healed me because my mom used to throw everything away I handmade for her. She was the only one. She kept everything from my brother and sometimes hung up stuff from her students for a few days. At least my grandma appreciated what I did and you appreciate what your daughter does for you❤

We need parents like her , when i was 12 or 13 i drew dad in digital art and it took around 2 hours and it was one of the first paintings i made in digital art so i gave it to him in his bday and since i didnt have money i couldnt bring a gift .he said ty but he kept saying u didnt get me a gift or saved money for anything your brother gave me a gift why dont u do it and other stuff and he keeps telling me that till now and it rlly broke me cuz i rlly thought he would value it ..but he never did .....
I was about her age, maybe younger, when I used an old paper towel roll to make a flute. It was just some holes cut into the tube and I would make noises while pretending to play. I went into my parents room where mom was watching tv and pretended to play for her and then said "Happy Mothers Day! Hope you liked the song I made for you. 😃" I got the most underwhelming response from her. I have NEVER done anything for her for mothers day since. So thank you for the dramatic show of appreciation. I'm sure she'll remember it forever.
Myla is the sweetest! You and Bobby are also doing a great job with parenting her even though you're not together! Myla's got good, strong people around her! Which obviously helped you get sober as well because of your parents being strong, no parent wants to do that, but it comes with a decision and look at you now Abbey your striving!
