Love to see the younger generations starting to enjoy these. Your green is very special….and combined with the fact you were able to purchase from original owner in what appears to be excellent original condition is truly incredible. This is family legacy material.
Great video, great car! I liked the last part with the person saying there is the truly afflicted with the 2 decades that passes in between. Hope you enjoy yours for many years to come. Cheers 🎉.
944....SUPER COOL ...I had a new one in 1988. Nice to hear your passion for them! I saw my first 944 when they were new in 1982.....it blew my mind !!! I mean look at all the other stuff what was around in 1982....
Cool stuff. Great documentary and story. I bought my first 1984 944 in September 1989, when I was 23 1/2. Joined PCA, did my first HPDE in April 1990, first Club Race in 1993 and proceeded to put over 200,000 miles on that 1984 and a 1989 2,7 944 street car that I am currently completely restoring. I share your enthusiasm and appreciate the thanks you give as I think of key, wonderful people that helped me, connected me with others, and do what I did with my 944, learning skills and life lessons along the way.
Nice Nile green, I love the greens on 944s sad they didn't make many I was lucky to find a metallic moss green example im still holding on to and probably will forever
Nile color is definitely great to see. Good to see another video of a newer generation digging these exceptional cars. Just recently brought my 87 944S back to life as a 948. Just remember, if you do lose the belt or water pump to bend all the valves the parts are available off the shelf to ls swap these beauties and not disturb weight balance and give you even more power and torque than the S2 ever could. Nothing but giggles with resurrecting mine from the dead. Cheers. 🍻
Thank you I really appreciate it! Thankfully one of the first things I did was replace the belts and water pump when I bought it. However I do love seeing the ls swaps as these cars are such great platforms. Awesome to hear about yours!
Nice to see you enjoying the car! They are a lot of fun. Still have my 84 coupe, but have enjoyed the 951 and cabriolet versions of the 944 also. Enjoy!!
Dude HAPPY Fathers day! Im ligit crying because this was literally a DREAM! Ive had since i was very young! My first "wrenching" photos were on a 944 at the age of 2. My dad sold the car on my 14th birthday, and it killed me.... my dad never realized that. Worse when i later bought my FIRST CAR. It was a 1986 porsche 944. Sadly, I never really got any attention from my father again. But I BUILT, what I wanted my 944 to be. Thank you mom for the secret support and both of them from dealing with the messes and chaos! Now, as an adult still having a 944 10 years later, my childs first wrenching photos have been in a 944! With it, this 944 journey is just starting as the build has only just begun! AND I CANNOT F$%^&ING WAIT to hear some similar story from my kiddo in 16 years! Or sooner!
So in more than one way thank you! And earned a subscriber on the heart, maybe see you at 944 fest! It's fun! * My build will now be filmed, edited, and posted, not just archived anymore!*
That’s amazing! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and I really appreciate you sharing your great story. Please do make a video on yours! And I will definitely need to check out 944 fest!
