thank you for the ongoing interest and support 🤍 it is impossible for me to answer all the questions, as many of them are specific and very individual cases. however, i would recommend you to visit the official htw page: kd.htw-berlin.de/en/ hope it helps you!
For someone that’s currently planning out their portfolio for a future application this was EXTREMELY helpful! Especially that’s sentence at the end “it’s the idea that counts” is helping me to de-stress
Crying rn because this is so good 😭 All your works are amazing! And you did so many for the hausaufgabe xD I am also applying this year but I am not nearly done with the mappe or anything 😭
Besos y mucha suerte
Was ich schon immer wissen wollte, bekommt man eigentlich sein Portfolio wieder zurück ? Also darf ich gegebenenfalls meine Zeichnungen etc. mit reinlegen ?
Lmao why only are Turks known directly as Muslims? Now many people know that this is a wrong perception… when i saw the graphic which about Turks it was weird to see someone lying in prostrationin 4:00. I just wanted you to know
thank you for sharing this with me! i appreciate the feedback, i should have been more thoughtful, specially when designing an app mockup which is meant to be inclusive. i'm sorry that what i made offended you (and others). i definitely want to improve! 🤍
thank you, awesome video! :) for anyone reading: taking advantage of free trials of as many programs as possible is a major tip for making an interesting portfolio!
I'm so happy to see other communication design students on RU-vid!! I'm a communication design major too. I go to school in Belgium, Europe. I'm in my second year now and I couldn't love my course any more than I do now. 💙⭐️ Btw I love your portfolio work !!! You're so talented!!!
@@naimafamo3509 in my country you always need a portfolio to apply to art uni. Since communication design falls under art a portfolio was required to apply. But my portfolio could be anything from sketches, to photography, to paintings, to sculptures… Just anything that showcases your creative ability I guess?
Sooo eine tolle Mappe🙏🏼😍 die arbeiten, die du selbst nicht mehr so mochtest fand ich trotzdem mega gut! Darf ich fragen, wie lange es gedauert hat bis du Bescheid bekommen hast?
Hi, thanks a lot for doing this video, I am helping my sister to find a Master program for Comunication Design, and wanted to ask if this portfolio you did for a Master program, cause you did a lot and looks already like you have already studied. Thanks again, and all the best :)
Hello I love your portfolio! I know this video is kind of old but I wanted to ask.. what did you use to create the images (the map, the app-design, mini-me…) i love it :) sorry if I missed it in the video
Anyone who's studied visual communication ...what did you do afterwards? I'm studying it but I feel like it's so broad and like a general art course...I didn't expect it to be so I'm so confused on what to do afterwards
Can I include personal projects in my design portflio for university? Like an illustration of a friend or a poster for a friend? Or is that too personal. ?? And would I have to give them credit I I include a reference picture of them and stuff? Thanks!
this is so amazing and give me some idea of portfolio because i am plaining to go Germany for communication design and i am already a communication student
All your work is so beautiful!! Thank you so much for this video, it was so helpfu for me as I want to apply there :) I had one question though (for bachelors), is it necessary for international students to enroll in a studienkolleg/ give the Festellungsprüfung to be qualified at htw? Also, does one have to complete an 8 week internship like in some German art unis?
thanks! 💖 it really depends, but yes, most international students have to attend a studienkolleg first! and yes, you have to do an internship at htw as well, but because i applied during the pandemic it wasn't a requirement for us. :)
Hey, I would be very happy if you would answer me quite quickly. I will also apply to the htw this year and probably have to upload a pdf like you. Could you maybe tell me if you wrote down any titles and if you placed the work on a power point and then converted it to pdf? Would be really nice if you could tell me in general how you made the pdf.
hey! sorry for the not so quick answer 😅 i didn't write any titles (or added a Inhaltsverzeichnis) a part from the numbers you can see on the slides i showed in the video. and yes! i made a powerpoint presentation that i turned into a pdf after! 😉😁 hope this can help! and good luck! 🍀
Hiii..., May i ask you, how was your experience in Bewerbungsgespräch? What questions did they asked you? And did you had some difficuties to explain some answer and decided to explain it in english? Is it ok to explain the answer in english and then back in german ? Would really nice if you could share it too :)
@@imarimoxter uugghhh u are so lucky! 😭 You don't have to be stress what kind of questions will they ask you... Happy for you tho :) Thanks for your Feedback anyway! :)
Hey there , just wanted to let you know that I used to struggle to develop my design portfolio until I came across this video of yours. I had saved it for later, in hopes to return and thank you when I make it into a good college .Thanks a lot , because with your kind guidance I made it in and they loved my portfolio!!
Hi. I learned alot from your video. Can you share about your "Vorpraktikum" in your application? I have read it on the website as one of the requirement for applying Kommukationsdesign. Unfortunately i havent been able to join a Designbüro or to work as an intern in some kind of Company/ Brand. Did you need to have this job experience during your application period? Thanks!
around 2 months? i would definitely recommend to take more time tho! i think 4-6 months would be more reasonable, as i was very stressed during those 2 months to get everything done in time 😅
Hey!! Super video! Hast du beim digitalisieren des Portfolios Überschriften bzw erklärungen/interpretationen dazu geschrieben?? Weil man es ja nicht vor ort vorstellen konnte
Hello I am from Turkey and I will be doing my Abitur next year. I have been drawing for 5 years now and most of the time it was digital and in comic style. I would love to discover the other elements of visual communication and add them to my portfolio but I have no experience. Is there a site where I can get help while creating my portfolio. How many artworks would be enough? Is there a certain way to prepare it or am I free to put whatever I like? Your video also helped me a lot and all of them are incredible
I don't know a site that can help you but I know you can apply in the college you want and ask for portfolio critique, 10-20 artworks should be enough depending on the college you're applying to 15 is good but check your college requirements
