Thank you for your advice. People have been asking me how to come in and do social work from abroad as I lived in the UK for many years before deciding to do it 4 years ago so not really sure how it works for those from Nigeria. Planning to find out as this career needs people desperately at the moment. This is helpful. as it is social workers are hot cake now so I don't think there will be so much restriction on the number of people but yes universities cannot take more than the allocated number of students that the govt allows. In social work you are also given a bursary for when you do your placement but I am not sure if this also applies to those from abroad. I need to find out. Thanks for sharing this

Please make sure that you can speak Engl;ish clearly enough so that your colleagues and service users can understand what you are saying - they will all be too scared to keep asking you to repeat yourself. 2. You have to really enjoy female dominated work environments because very few men can be bothered to choose the field of social work - the ratio is 85% female-15% male.

You are right, I applied to 6 schools and only 2 gave me admission 3 said they were booked for 2022. One I had to wait a year....my dear....

I really want to study social work. It's my dream course. And I want to go and study it in Nottingham university Malaysia.
