Hi friends, here we have my Agatha Christie collection. I’ll be sharing the ones in my collection that are both read and unread. #agathachristie #mystery #bookshelftour
I really need to pick up her books! I see them all the time and get so drawn to them, but never know where to start! Definitely referencing this video! Can’t wait to hear more recommendations ☺️📚
@@cheekychapters awww thanks so much for watching! I think I have so many opinions because I have been reading and rereading them since middle school because they were always available at my library 😅 but I can understand how coming in fresh to an author with so many published books would be overwhelming. I’d recommend 4:50 From Paddington as a first Miss Marple and The Mysterious Affair at Styles as a first Poirot. But they can be read in any order. They are also excellent in audio. And Then There Were None was my first and an excellent place to start with the stand alone books. If you ever get to them I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Nothing better than a thunderstorm for reading, especially a mystery! What a mood 😁 I don’t know how you can keep track of all of these, I would mix them up so fast!
I think it is just because these are books I have been reading since I was 12 or 13 and some I have read many times. It is where my collection of books started but I do occasionally mix up ones I haven’t reread often. And yes, thunderstorms are the best! 😊
Agatha Christie is my favorite! The first one I read was “Elephants Can Remember”. You will love “Death Comes as the End”. We actually read it as a family book club during Covid, and everyone loved it! “The Pale Horse” is also amazing and has a bit of the supernatural. I’ve read all of her books, I believe, but I need to reread some! My favorite Miss Marple is “Sleeping Murder”. SO good!
Sleeping Murder is my favorite Miss Marple! Followed probably by A Caribbean Mystery. I am looking forward to these ones I haven’t read because I have read and reread so many of her books that it will be wonderful to have a first time read of a couple. Love to meet fellow Agatha Christie fans!
What a great collection! I believe that And Then There Were None was the first Agatha Christie that I read too. I think we read it in English class in 8th grade. Hearing you talk about this collection, I realize that I have read more of Agatha Christie than I thought. And I'm also learning about many that I have never even heard of. Well done, Nicky.
@@BookChatWithPat8668 Thanks so much for watching, Pat! I think it was 8th grade for me too. Sometime in late middle school off of a list for summer reading. If you pick up any of the ones you hadn’t heard of I hope you enjoy!
Hi, l like seeing your Agatha Christie' s shelf. In my sitting room there is a shelf dedicated to Agatha Christie too. I red all of them and l loved it. When I was a young girl l didn't like reading books but my teacher said me that l had to start reading some books to improve my writing. So l went to a vintage book shop and I bought a lots of Agatha' books. After reading them l decided to buy another books of her, so I became her fan. A simple curiosity: I' ve noticed that your covers are different colours instead of mine are just yellow. Many years ago books like Agatha Christie were identified with yellow colour.
Very similar to me, that is where my book collection started because I would buy a lot of the older copies in second hand bookstores as I grew up. I think these are just covers in the states and some of these are the new printings of them.
