I wanted to clarify that the entire program is roughly one year, however, the school side of it is just 4 months. That is then followed up by 8 months of clinical work essentially.
Hey!! Oh that’s awesome!! So mainly off base! You’ll see and do a lot at the off base hospital (HCA-Fort Walton Beach), however you’ll spend a couple months at the Eglin Hospital doing PFT’s/intubations/ and working cardiology doing EKG-stress tests!
Thanks a lot!! So not all of them go to Eglin from the schoolhouse. There are roughly 6 different locations you can go to after you graduate for clinicals.. However, they rotate 3 per class. So one class (Sr. Class) will get 3 locations to go to, and then the following class (Jr. class) will get the next 3 options.
How can I get in touch with you to get some more information depth questions answered. I’m currently AD about to be in my cross-training window and this is one of the jobs I’m hoping to get!
How long is phase one? I’ve heard contradictory info. Some say 4-6 months, some say 9.. is there a exact minimum number of days given that’s not in the cfetp?
It’s roughly 4 months. I say roughly because depending at which point you go through the course in the year, there’s holidays you might be off. It’s definitely not 9 months. Phase 2 is longer. That’s roughly 9-10 months, but again dependent with holidays/breaks; and then upgrade training is 6 months.
@@cbalot Yes it does. If youre active duty, upgrade training begins at your duty station you go to after training (Phase 2). If you're reserves, then there's a phase 3, which is more time for you to work at a mil hospital to do upgrade training.
Hey, good evening! As far as study guides, they actually have some that they will/may give to you during the course! However, some of the best study guides* I used were actually a few teachers here on RU-vid! That's if you wanted to listen in on what you'll be learning. The first classes you take are microbiology, anatomy and physiology, etc. A lot of your science courses mainly. The channels are: Respiratory Coach, Respiratory Therapy Zone, and CrashCourse.
