Apple has been selling these things for years, knowing full-well that they are defective. It's absolutely disgusting! I returned so many of these that I got so tired of it and finally just gave up trying.
I had the same issue, which was annoying as I work with these AirPods daily! Then, I realised the problem was gone when using only one earbud at a time. So, I decided to buy new tips from an off-market brand assembled with a different foam and construction. So, the issue is now gone. There is a significant problem with the tips, but I don't know why. Try this: remove the tips and use the AirPods without them. You won't hear any clicking or weird noises. That worked for me - better give it a try than buy new AirPods.
Thank you so much for making this video. I have been living with this issue for months now, I was about to purchase a brand new set of airpod's for my vacation. I really didn't wanna spend the money, or buy airpods again, until I seen this video, atleast I know I can turn off noise cancellation and get some use out of mine for now.
I just bought the cuz there on big sale in my country and with my luck I get this defect. Tried everything except cleaning, cuz there brand new, but I admit defeat and returned, we will see how it goes
Thank you! I only listen to podcasts not music on my AirPods. I also have telephone conversations so lack of noise control isn’t really an issue. By turning off noise control, the AirPods work perfectly. Thank you very much!
Paid 350 for my AirPods Pro 2. Apple was able to replace admitting to problem. The replacement lasted me 6 months (within warranty) and they said I cannot replace since the case (not replaced) was over warranty even though the pods were new and had their own serial number. Disappointed.
Also AirPods pros that were replaced are getting worse, even with noise cancel off. I have to have it at 60% volume to avoid most of the hiss and pop sounds. And I need to keep my head still to not hear any artificial sounds. Avoid buying them.
Thanks! Yeah it is quite ridiculous that Apple just let this happen without admitting this was an actual design flaw. Should have been completely recalled when the issue popped up imo
How, the title is saying the airports have a design flaw, and that is true. He never stated anything about a muffled audio fix. It's about a crackling and hissing sound.
