@@FranksModelWorksI try to do the same, the last 3 cars I’ve built I’ve given away to persons that had the car in their earlier years, they’ve been surprised and they really appreciate it. I have in line a 69 Mustang GT, a 67 Camaro RS, where there’s no where where I can find those special decals “Bumble Bee”, if you know pleas advise, and after I have a 87 Chevy El Camino with the Choo Choo Customs pkg. I plan to give all of these away to good friends that had these cars when they were younger. Can’t wait, like I say, when you give, is when you truly receive! 😊

I had a chance to buy a 1968 Charger with a 383 back in 1979 for only $750, it had a big side swipe dent in the driver side rear quarter panel but it ran good. It was during high school so I only had $550 so I bought a 1964 Chevy Biscayne. I kind of wish I bought the Charger and restore it and paint it black like the car in Bullit.
@FranksModelWorks
@FranksModelWorks 5 месяцев назад
I know how you feel…now even that Biscayne is worth big bucks. I also built a Bullitt Charger: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ekbg6MLxmYw.htmlsi=mNFRT8jAADr2IYOt

@@FranksModelWorks That's for sure, now days they want over $10,000 for a 1960's - 1970's Dodge or Chevy even with rust all over it., I ended up selling my 1964 Chevy Biscayne for $600, in 1983 and bought a 1979 Mercury Zephyr for $2000. It was a pretty good car it had a 302 motor and ran great after I rebuild the carburetor, It also got about 26 MPG
@FranksModelWorks
@FranksModelWorks 5 месяцев назад
@@BarryWinner2075 my father had a ‘67 GTO that he abandoned on 1977 (I was 5 at the time). Years later I asked how on earth he could do that and he replied matter of factly “I paid $100 for that car…they were a dime a dozen when I bought it…it was rusted out after 10 NYC winters, and it wouldn’t cold start. I didn’t feel like paying a dime to call a scrap yard and have them pick it up, so I left it unlocked where guys who were into cars hung out. They probably scavenged it for parts and left the husk for Sanitation to drag away.” It actually made sense…

Really nice build! Having worked for Ups for the last 30 years I’d be so nervous shipping one of my models. Looks like it made it just fine though.
