In this video, we examine how the voice ranges vary in someone with Dissociative Identity Disorder. This is not a game or an act; we were diagnosed 4 years ago. This video is meant to bring awareness to a highly stigmatized disorder through something fun! This here is a project we’ve been working on for a long time! Memorizing song lyrics is interesting when you have amnesia barriers lol we figured you could use some entertainment during the Lockdown Hours, so here it is!

Oh I wanna cry for you guys. I only wish those with mental illness become happy and at least to have a good life. I hope you guys aren’t sad and I hope you all are safe and I hope you have really good and happy days. I hope you will get to see someone soon with a proper diagnosis, but just know we all are here and support you. I am the mom of a teenager with DID and this made me cry and broke my heart, i love all of her alters whether i know them or not they are all themselves as individuals and a special part of her. I am sending huge hugs to you and your system and as much love as i possibly can. Stay strong and safe.

I completely understand. My parents are also very dismissive of any of my mental heath issues including my suspected DID so I am left speaking to councillors online about it and am only just starting to discover my alters.

As someone who studies music, it's really interesting to me to hear how differently Vicky uses the voice from the rest of you. You all sound different, but where the other alters use the voice like a baritone man, Vicky uses it like an alto woman. That's very interesting to me. Also, just joined the gobsquad yesterday, and I have been binging videos since then. I love your systems, and the work you do is soooo important. Johanne Mathea Angelsen That’s interesting because I think that before they started taking testosterone that Aether was an alto, so I guess Vicky retained that singing style because she didn’t feel the need to practice lowering her voice like so many of the other alters

Yes to The co-conscious singing!! We experience that with our system too and it’s so amazing to see someone else do it and capture it on camera. Everyone did amazingly! Singing is an wonderful outlet for us as well.

It’s interesting to watch the little difference is Sargons and Dante’s performances within the same song. Like how Sargon really seems to be more expensive with gestures and a more active energy. Dante on the other hand is a little more subdued. I love this video, it’s so good and so much fun. And Echo coming in with /Do it all the time/ is so choice

It was called something before but it was eventually changed to Babe Salad when one day we saw two cheerleader costumes. One said "babe" the other said "salad" and we thought that was hilarious. 1- it’s sad you had to say that you aren’t voice acting & you have been diagnosed with DID. The fact you feel you have to justify is heartbreaking. 2- I may sound crazy in this, but voice acting etc, like when an actor does it the actor still looks exactly the same as other shows with their born accent. You can tell it’s that specific person talking in an accent. With alters I’ve noticed the face almost changes. Eyes appear different, mannerisms are different, the mouth moves differently. You can tell it truly is a totally different person that before the switch. Love your videos & your advocacy/knowledge for DID. I do not have DID, but I have learned so much watching your videos 💖 Edit: you all were amazing! You also introduced me to songs I haven’t heard before! Ozzy cracked me up with his smirk during the chorus of his song!

You guys have such amazing singing voices and I absolutely love it. I'm also glad to see that we're not the only ones who ends up having a duet with their own system. I'm a tenor/Alto but Crystal, my systems protector/Mongolian wolf is a soprano. I'm planning on posting a video of her singing while we were cocon/confronting which we have always been able to do even long before I knew I wasn't alone. I do post mainly videos of us singing as we love it and can use it for stress relief as well. Crystal and I also cocon/confront and duet on occasion as I'm often her buffer as she absolutely hates the body due to it being a human not wolf body so it doesn't work the way she wants it to which is why I know what her range is

Thanks for the video! We have very different singing voices as well, and usually our throat hurts if we try to sing in a different tone. Except for one of us, who's a musician and actually can go the entire range without pain. We found that very interesting when we first realized it, and it's interesting other systems also experience that.

Thank you all for posting this. Firstly i'd like to say nice pipes. very moving & inspiring. This actually really helped us with some blockages that our system has been facing the passed few months surrounding music. Our "singers" have not been fronting in a long while & as a result have not been able to de-stress/release/process through music/singing or listen to it at all which has had a hugely negative impact on the whole system. Your singing seemed to get through to some of them and help open up some of those blocks a little so thank you all. it was so great to be able to listen to music for the first time in many months when music is life for some of our system members. -

If the song vibes with any of you, I'd love to hear "Begging for Thread" with any of your voices! The lyrics also just feel relevant to what in seeing on your channel, idk I hope you like the song, it's one that resounds with me a lot about PTSD stuff. I am so glad I found your channel. Thanks for being out here doing awesome stuff and making this Portlander feel a bit better during this quarantine stuff 💗

As I’ve recently started taking singing lessons so I was gonna try and find technical names for all the differences in your voices but I’m not good enough at that yet. It’s difficult because they are all very specific songs, you all seem to copy the tone and vocal internations of the original tracks. But I could still hear song tone differences :D Also I freaked out a little too hard when yall sang Diamonds, steam powered Giraffe is an Angsty teen fave of mine
