Whatever the sub category you choose, what I can definitely tell you is that you need to keep it relevant to the theme of your book. Otherwise Amazon might punish you and block your book.

I see. Yea I've had a few clicks from comments. I found when I was first starting and was putting short links over videos it kinda felt like I was going too fast. Like who the hell am I to these people? 10 followers hey click my link haha. So I decided just make a bunch of different types of videos, see what was well received, then focus on that. When I get comments I'd reply. I'd not jump on them and beg them to click the link. If they say "it looks nice and what is the image I'm coloring?" I say "hey thanks, it's from my coloring book". Again, I could try and force the link here, but Tiktok engagement and comments boosts my account. If they are interested further and ask which one it might be a good opportunity to do a video reply and show them the book and then I could include the link here. It almost guarantees at least that person clicks, and it creates social proof that people care about what you are putting out there and they are more likely to go along with the crowd. I really need to build my email list like you're doing. As I'm generating images for my coloring books if I ever make something that is good that doesn't fit I put it away in my "freebie" folder I've been saving up. @@ChrisRaydog

@@ChrisRaydogIf you find a moment to comment, how do you cover the legal side of collecting a mailing list? Privacy policy, GDPR (Europe), CCPA (US) etc. Do you make your data like first name and last name available in the privacy policy? Sure, just setting up a newsletter is one thing, but not to get huge fines later is another ;) The mailing list may come in handy later when launching a product, but don't want to make more problems than there will be benefits from it :D

@@ChrisRaydog You also mentioned views mainly from the UK. I myself have experienced 95% traffic from my country (Europe) which frankly gives me practically nothing ;) I'll be testing the method with US sim card tomorrow, so I'll be able to let you know in a few days if the traffic will actually go from the US :)

@@progression5889 I had someone set everything up with privacy policies, opt out etc etc There was a video I saw yesterday about the sim card stuff that I will try, but it would be great to hear back from you if it works

@@ChrisRaydog So I tested the method with the US Sim card and it actually works, the vast majority of impressions go from the United States. The card isn't even active, it's just inserted into the phone :) (60 to 98% from US). Is it still possible to buy the last case study with a coloring book?

Yeah I'm on the fence with the freebie people having much impact on sales etc - something I will continue to test, ads are awful this month so I'm gonna welcome any additional visibility
