The dagger sounds like an SA Dagger”Alles Fur Deutschland” all for Germany. $1000 US is on the high end depending on how rare the maker is. DM K 1896 should be 7mm Mauser that was made for Spain.
Yes , that is what was on the blade . The guy who bought did say it was on the high side , but was willing to pay it because he could see it in person . What I saw of it , I would say it was in excellent , beautiful condition . Thanks for the info on the ammo
You should consider keeping that property and house in the family. I’m getting my grandparents house and property. I feel like I’m carrying on my grandpas memory taking care of it, doing the yard work. Do what you can to keep it.
My sister & I both live about a hour & half away from the property . My brother lives in Minneapolis . We did discuss the idea of keeping it . It was not where we grew up , & means more to the grandkids . If we keep it , our concern would be theft , vandalism & squatters . My oldest son was interested , yet for him he needed at least a year to get ready & the appraisal came in about $180,000.00 more then where he wanted to be . I have not meet the people who gave us a full price cash offer , so maybe allow me to come up once a month to shoot & video . I am glad things have worked out for you
Something will be sure to work out. I hope you and your family are doing well. Things have a weird way of happening. I’m always a big advocate of keep it in the family. My grandpas house means a lot to me because he built it and I grew up next door to him.
@@Butterybiscutbase my grandparents where special to me also . Growing up we left Kansas City and drove up to Northern Minnesota , where my grandparents had a 160 acre farm & every few years a family reunion , my dad was 1 of 8 children . I learned to drive the tractors , bale hay , bring in the oats , slop the pigs , gather chicken eggs , feed & milk the cows along with cleaning out the barn stalls . A lot of memories , they live on inside of me my memories and later I got into photography , so I have some really cool photos of them & the farm .
