My superbum roots were snapping as well when I took it out of the pot. I currently have it in water to try and rehydrate the roots. I checked today and the roots seem stronger. There a new leaf coming up after 3 days in water. I hope it does better when I repot it.
I too enjoyed seeing your dog with it’s toy but I really enjoyed seeing your Anthuriums I never knew there were so many different ones you explain things very well thank you
Hi planty family, I’m taking all the anthurium information I can get because those will definitely be in my 2021 collection ☺️💚 Beautiful and healthy looking anthuriums, Ayana.
@@RootingMindfully - Thanks! It's a beast for sure-putting out a new leaf right now! I honestly don't know how the heck I'm going to deal with this thing after a year or two more...might need to buy a house to keep it :S
As always, love your collection. I have only one anthurium - berry allusion . I decided to just stick with the one until after I get the hang of this one. I appreciate you given tips on how to care for it at the end of the video. I don't really have an issue with the plant but the way my energy system is set up with these baseboard heaters (so drying 🙄), it is difficult to keep the humidity up. What seems to help so far is sitting him on top of a pebble tray so the water evaporates up. This way Gideon Ramon (all my plants have 2 names 😁) is not in danger of being over watered.
Thank you. That is a good idea of having one until you get the hang of it. That is really the best way to offset a bunch of casualties. Yeah I think once you move you will have more options because that heat will dry them out quickly.
I've been binge watching your videos today and really love them. I am planning on making a purchase from Ecuagenera soon and appreciate all the details about them. And I love seeing your pup!
Continuing to steal 👀ideas from your plant collections and that anthurium clarinervium is on my wish list for 2021!! Enjoying your content as always. 😁
your pendulifolium is so beautiful...! I have vittarifolium and bakeri but pendulifoliums are hard to come by! But my absolute dream pendant anthurium is Anthurium 'Big Bill'(cubense x pendulifolium)
New subscriber. Love your anthurium collection. What substrate do you use for your belt anthuriums? I have 2 & struggling. I’m a new plant parent. Thanks for sharing.
@@RootingMindfully Yep. I guess people show them in hauls a lot where they have 2-3 leaves. Mine has 5 and I just cut off the oldest one. Five seems to be the most I've seen. :)
Thank you for sharing video of so many beautiful anthuriums. Can I ask how do you like the clay pot? I’m struggling should I grow mine in plastic pot or clay pot. At the moment they are all in plastic. Will the root cling to clay pot?
I have a handful of anthurium, and I’m still trying to figure out the care. Like you mentioned, I’m struggling to get a few of them to put out new growth. The one that does consistently put out new leaves is a vittarifollium, and the new growth always comes in mostly white or all white and then dies off :/ It’s not variegated, but rather I think it may be lacking a nutrient 🤷🏻♀️ I feed it diluted strength liquidirt, like most of my aroids. Any ideas on what I should do differently for that one?
That's really interesting🤔 I've never seen that happen before, but you definitely should try giving it a stronger fertilizer. Liquidirt is more of a plant food, not really a fertilizer. It's got a ton of the good micro nutrients in it, but not really enough nitrogen. You can actually add a fertilizer to the liquidirt water ( but at 1/4 the strength if you are using it weekly) and it won't harm your plants! Also, just make sure you're watering enough if you have a chunky mix👍🤞

Help please I too bought a clarinervium from green spaces id it is very small I have it in a west facing window it was yellowing bad so I discovered it had root rot I handled that but it is not doing anything and it is tiny its not growing but not dying my humidity stays around 50 to 55% both plants are growing I received with it but it just hasn't done a thing how small was yours at the beginning?
It was a decent size. I have a video up of the unboxing. Has it grown its roots back. It could be growing roots and that is why you are not seeing foliage growth.
@@RootingMindfully it standing straight and it has a new growth point it’s sticking out of the dirt and it has looked the same for weeks but there is something there thanks for the response:)
@@RootingMindfully Thanks. I'm a bit further north. Ugh. I'm not sure I'm a supplemental lighting person. I might have to stick to plants that can survive without it. I do love how all those beautiful anthuriums, though.
