Recieved one as an Xmas gift. and now that title music is now the official theme of using the john. Thanks for the idea! The device sits on the counter right next to the toilet. Only makes sense since most games are a one button wonder. that or extremely simplistic and slow paced anyways. Most games look like GBA shovelware so there's some charm at least. No more taking the phone to the bathroom!
@@certifiedbruhmoment85 My favorite game is Forest Adventure. Other games I like are Jumping Mary, Elvish Boy, Full Moon Night, West Cowboy, Crazy Fighter, and Mini Fighter.
My son got this for his bday. It's a little sluggish, but some games are pretty cool. I like the little Street Fighter rip off. I am thinking about getting on for myself.
This is a bit late; but around 5 years back my parents bought me another console with an identical set of games/graphics, albeit without the Educational ones or a few others; I clearly remember 'Space Sword', although it was called 'Star War' on mine, just because of how insanely catchy the background music was and how decently it entertained me. The only problem was that the speaker eventually broke... and that they paid $50 for it.
Hey nice job with this video! I did a video myself one of these games - Mini Fighter - and I'll be happy share the special moves with you. They're all pretty much your standard cookie-cutter fighting game button inputs: Fireball: Down, Forward, Punch Hurricane Kick: Down, Back, Kick Super Special (when meter is full): Punch + Kick together
Like the form factor of this one, looking more like a game boy. The older horizontal version I owned crapped out pretty quickly. Definitely not amazing quality products but for the price it’s hard to complain.
I have a PSP 3001 and a 2DS, both modded, but I love and collect hand held games of all types, including the mini arcades (Rampage, Burgertime, etc.). No one system is an end all-be-all for me, so even though I can play all the snes, nes, genesis (and so on) titles on a hand held, I found there are some unique and fun games on this device, as well as the My Arcade Retro Arcade 300 and 200 models (the ones that look like mini arcade cabinets). I bought those 2 and this one for an average of $10 each on eBay, so for that price, I think they are well worth it.
I actually really like some of the sports games so far (haven't tried a whole lot of titles on it yet). Smooth graphics, nice sounds, etc. I like how you can pick the players and some of the other in game choices.
Yes... very easy to replace if you decided to. No telling in 20 or 30 years though, when they are "vintage" what the value of them may be. My prediction is that they will either just stay the same as they are right now (around $11 or $12), or they will maybe double that if you have one in great condition in the box. There are a lot of them out there and they seem pretty durable.
I think why the AV output is glitching is when the AV input is loose. So that’s why it’s glitching. Also, I bought one, but I’m buying another one because on my first one the screw was stripped.
Very nice video! Rob. I am amazed by the absence of loading times! For 30€ this is pretty damn good! At first I think it was a child oriented gamesystem... But despite the childish design of the characters & decors this seems to be hard games. Pretty good pick. Thank you Rob! I am gonna get one for a try.
Funny how i look for reviews on these, so that i can decide if my 5 yr old would be entertained enough as we travel, and i read all these comments written by children in adult bodies about hacks and mods and all kinds of technical crap.
Gave one to my grandson for Christmas,it shuts off after five minutes, the company website hasn't acknowledged me yet.I think it's a nice product ,except of course.....
You need a 2.5mm to RCA MONO AV cable. The stereo (3 jack) one will not work. At least it did not for me. I'm going to test to see if just a regular audio 2.5mm will work and let you know. I get them with Famiclones a lot so I had some laying around.
Getting the data east ver since most of these games are meh, but I liked the size and build so I figured it would be worth the extra money for a licensed product.
If you like the game setup it is an OK system. If you are looking for something with the original nes games and a little better refined try this one: ru-vid.com?o=U&video_id=XpEYuGTkdP0
I got this (not because of the review i used the review to find the “220 games”) as a christmas stocking stuffer about a year ago. I tried playing it and had no clue where those extra games were so I abandoned it. Until I got another handheld stocking stuffer which is much better. I love retro games and hoped for much more when i saw this console. It’s a waste of batteries and money in my opinion.
I want to know how to play the games. I know how to turn the device on and off and put in batteries, but no one shows how to play the games. You are playing it, but not showing me which buttons I should be using.
Just found out the hard way that the Go Gamer (which I bought recently) has all the exact same games that their Gamer X model has: www.amazon.com/My-Arcade-Portable-Built-Headphone-electronic/dp/B01BESNUIK?th=1 I had no way to see the games lists before buying the Gamer X the other day on eBay. I may try to sell one of them now, but I'm not sure which one I prefer. The gamer X feels more solid and feels kinda sorta better in my hands. The buttons don't have the option of lighting up like the Go Gamer, but that's just a battery drain. The screens are the same, as is the sound and they both have a/v outs. On the other hand, I could only get about $10 for either, and after shipping + eBay fees, I'd only net about $5. Maybe I'll just keep one in the bathroom.
Bwhahahah! This is probably one of the few machines I covered where I actually got any enjoyment out of the sports games or even showed them. That said there is some fighting going on at 15:45 or so.
Yep, I cover output (and issues with the 2 I tested) in the video. I think this is a pretty good one for car rides -- The games are worth playing and the construction is physically pretty good.
You forgot a very important detail. Does it have a headphone jack? A portable gaming device is almost useless without one cause people don't want to hear your game and you can't hear it clearly on the subway without one
One portable was full of generic and awful NES games with a few higher quality games included, this one is just generic games you'd see on an old mobile phone. Also "family"? Am I going to be passing this around with my family??
