I am so happy to have come across your video and learn about your teaching technique of using the 'Candyland' theme. I think it's so important to allow students, and especially young children, the opportunity to stretch their creativity by coming up with their own concepts instead of having them simply follow instruction and do a step-by-step art project all the time. Did you have students who struggled with choosing an inspiration or concept idea for their works? If so, what were some strategies you used to help them? - A future art teacher 🙂
Do you have a TpT store? I would love to purchase the plan and artist statement worksheets that you use, or even some of the tests that you give kids to open the centers.
Here is the link to the planning worksheet :) www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Planning-Worksheet-for-Free-Choice-Art-Project-WOW-Project-or-TAB-center-based-7866997
i found your TpT store, but didn’t see the ballerina brush poster which i love ❤ are you still able to add it? much appreciated, and a lovely classroom!!
Extremly organized ! I really like how each station has a name. Thank you I learned a lot! I teach in the school districts but as an afterschool enrichment teacher. And full summers in an Engineering school that also offers art programs. I'm wondering are the budgets very small in the schools? It seems that the materials are not varied enough (I can only go by what is shown in the video) Do you venture into crafts at all? That opens up a whole new world for children. Crafts have a lot of history in all cultures. Definitely something that children can learn about in school. Kids absolutely love crafts (girls in particular).
