Hi Daniel, this is a fantastic job, I like so much your videos. I have the same telescope on EQ5 manual, so I cannot take long time shot, I hope to do in the future. May I ask a question, especially when I take a video of March with barlow lent 5x and mirrorless Lumix G5, I have a phantom red on the right and blue one on the left of the planet, do you have any suggestion to solve this matter, obviously I make an accurate alignment and focusing before to take the video. I have to say, very impresive results for that basic setup. I started astrography with the same but I decided to upgrade the mount soon. The eq3-2 is very undersized mount for the SW 150/750 scope, even for visual usage. Eq5 Pro works relatively well. If you want the mount able to track with the resolution of the scope (under 1"), eq6 grade mount is necessary. Or vice versa, if you are satisfied with sw eq 3-2 results, you would get the same or better results with smaller scope as Sw Ed72. Canon lenses about 200 - 300mm are relatively good too.
may i ask what exactly do you mean by undersized please ? i was interested to buy the 150/750 with the eq 3-2 for my first telescope and im trying to get more infos as what is the best currently
@@So-eq4px SW 150/750 has resolution about 0.7". Eq 3-2 is able to achieve tracking precision about 4" for long exposition usage (1 minute or more). You can fight with the mount precision using short expositions < 15s (somebody is happy with 30s, it depends). Even for visual usage, eq3-2 suffers with vibrations, it is not rigid enough for such big and heavy scope. I would recommend eq3-2 as travel mount for scopes < 400mm. For DSO photography, long focal length is not needed. You are limited by sky. 750mm is practically maximum usable focal lenght if you do not use camera pixel binning. Check pro photos and used scopes on the net.

@@victorrossomano5025 i know i'm very late but basically, if you use long exposures with a camera, the camera can capture more light than what our eyes can see. This results in the detailed photos of nebulae and stuff.

Hello, your photos are great! I am thinking about using the same telescope. Do you think a phone camera of 64 mp would produce similar quality photos? Also did you have any problems in the mount system due to the extra weight of the dslr camera? Thanks in advance!
the resolution is not as important as the sensor size or the ability to capture long exposure images or capture in raw mode. a phone sensor is usually much smaller so probably not.

Nice, I have the 150/1200 version but they both have the same weight. Did you motorize your 3-2? I ordered a kit so that I can build those motors on too. I will seriously be astonished If I get similar results like yours! I will aim for higher exposures though since the focal length is higher on mine.
tengo una duda desde ase mucho tiempo y esq quiero comprarme una camara pero oigo tantas cosas q me da miedo dicen q luego no consigues aser foco tengo un 150/750 skywatcher si me compro cualquier camara reflex y compro la anilla T q lleve conseguire aser fotografia o nesesito algo alguna modificacion o algo parecido . otra cosa cuando pones la camara sin el objetivo en el portaocular para aser foto grafia llegas a ber en la pantalla lo q quieres fotografiar o , no se be nada asta q sacas la foto gracias agradeceria ayuda

Tried a bit astrophotography (with 550D and 2.8 50mm Sigma Lens for milky way and 75-300 5,6 telezoom) The stuff with the 2.8 macro lens was awesome, even parts of the orion nebula, but the 300mm tele trys,… all fked up since i cant go higher iso than 6400 or reduce exposure time to 1/3 seconds, even at a second (annoying star trailing and still too dark) its still too dark at all and at partially usable 1,5-2 seconds, well heavy star trailing. Since i dont wanted to invest in a mount for my el cheapo dslr gear, i will go for 2nd hand telescopes for viewing only or if they are affordable a set with track head also for photography, a dedicated asi cam as soon i know its definately something for me I have already a 150/750mm refractor with EQ3 mount and motors in sight, only problem: is 750mm a good idea as beginner? Probably im better off with 400-500mm for easier introduction in the hobby, on the other side since i mainly want to target nebulas 750 would be just fine (and still „compact“ enough). I dont want to buy now a useful midclass astrophotography gear to upgrade later a lot (or everything) so probably 750mm are much for a beginner, but also could help me at getting nebulas sharper than i could with a 300-400mm The price is also awesome: 600€ for basically everything, even a better polar and finder scope, only the basic EQ3 motor control but its at least upgradable to GoTo if i want it in the future
Hey, I use a similar setup so I can also help. What you need is a: - Equatorial mount: he used Eq-3 - Telescope: Skywatcher 150/750 - T-ring to connect your DSLR camera to the telescope (assuming he used a dslr and not a dedicated astrophotography camera) -lightpolution filter (I cannot really help you with that) -intervalometer or a laptop with programs to run the photograph sequence. - at last you need a calibration laser. Also what I would suggest is to download stellarium and make a custom back ground of your backyard to see if you have nothing obstructs the night sky (altough I have a very cramp backyard and it is fine). Also, if you have the money and know you want to keep doing this hobby, I would suggest to buy a Heq-5 Pro since that is upgrade proof (it can handle more weight)
Cześć, mógłbyś powiedziec conieco o tym zestawie? Sam powoli przymierzam się do podobnego ale czytając różne astrofora odechcewa mi się gdy widzę jak wszyscy mowią, że z takim zestawem będzie kupa a nie foto..
ten zestaw jest dobry na poczatek przygody z astrofoto. Rzeczywiscie montaż eq3-2 pozostawia wiele do życzenia. Żeby zobaczyć z czym to się je tak naprawdę, to zestaw wydaje mi sie jest całkiem w porządku. Pozdrawiam i życzę powodzenia !

@@CaptainKage go to niestety nie mam, ja za jakiś czas bede zmienial na heq5 pro. Powodzenia i jesli mialbym jeszcze raz ta wiedze, co teraz, to eq3-2 bym sobie odpuscil :). Polowa materiału laduje w koszu.
Z jaką soczewką widać tak dobrze te planety? Mam taki sam teleskop i nie mogę osiągnąć jakichś satysfakcjonujących wyników. Widzę poprostu punkciki często nieostre.
