My August 2022 FAVES and FAILS 

I have been using paper and pencil calendars and planners for years. My fella has tried to convert me but it doesn't hit the same. I see you.

I use cheap black kitchen towels with micellar water to remove my swatches when I do my makeup, putting it out there in case you were in the hunt for some ideas to replace your makeup wipes 😊

I've been using the shave oil too and mannnnnn it makes all the difference!!! No more cuts or razor burn. What a gem!!!

Taylor, try putting your moisturizer on fresh clean moist skin. Let it soak in for 20 min or so and THEN apply your retinol. This is what Dr Dray suggests and has been my routine for years. It ensures you get moisture in and it allows the retinol to penetrate. Putting moisturizer over the retinol can exacerbate the irritation. Dr Dray has tons of super informative videos on using retinol effectively and safely! Oh and she recommends that Avene moisturizer! 😊

Yes to an actual calendar!!!! I have mine on my fridge and it makes a huge difference!!

I use the plain vaseline jelly stick on my tattoo for a more vibrant look. I like it a lot .. and it’s so travel friendly.

Oh woman. Love the tree hut shave oil. Live for that product. Plus doesn't clog razor. All in. Love to change up scents. ❤️. I am here with you for an actual calendar. I am very visual and need to see it all laid out too. Grateful that you include comments about scents. Being someone that gets migraines from strong scents I appreciate this so much!!

100% agree the Tree Hut Tropic Glow does smell like the Bum Bum cream. It isn’t as long lasting, but it’s long enough for the price difference!

Avene's cicalfate is an absolutely amazing product. You can use on your babie's butt for any kind of rash or discomfort. It's fantastic. I've been using it since almost 20 years (my older one is almost 18). Anytime my skin is getting reaction I use it😊

You started the video talking about shaving and I thought you saw the light and began to epilate! I haven't shaved my legs or underarms in close to 20 years! At this point I have about 5 hairs in each underarm and my leg hairs are quite sparse as well. I only have to epilate about once a month and it takes me about 5 minutes total. But hey, if oil works for you - you do you!! Great video, as usual - I wasn't sure about that hair color but it seems I absolutely love it. It's quite exotic somehow!!!!

I'm old school and need a physical calendar too! Glad it's not just me! I'm taking your recommendation and ordered some of that eye cream. I hope it helps my wrinkles.. LOL

I picked up the Tree hut vanilla shave oil 2 weeks ago and it's a game changer! Same issues with fast regrowth and razor burn in the past but this oil really helps. I also like that its wash off so if you're sensitive like me, just wash off after with water and body wash.

I tried the Cover Girl concealer on your recommendation but still with some reservation, because makeup can be really subjective. I absolutely love it! I'm honestly surprised more people aren't talking about it. I can't thank you enough for that one. 🙂

I am right there with you on a paper calender. I've tried the calendar on my phone, and I just can't plan my week and month with it. Thank you for the suggestion on the shave oil, I will definitely try that.

I recently had to get a fridge white board magnet calendar for the same reason. I need to physically see what I have scheduled or I forget!

I have not heard anyone talk about shaving their legs with hair conditioner, but that’s what I do. I do that because it’s cheap (especially the Suave or Garnier brand) and I don’t get razor burn. The bottle lasts a good amount time also. I would try the oil, though as I’ve seen it at Ulta.

I have a shared calendar with hubby on my phone. I use an undated weekly calendar to plan out my week. I love paper and pen too! 😊

I discovered that shave oil earlier this year! It's amazing! I will not be going back to shaving cream.

Try the Frenshe cashmere vanilla! The Laroche Posay cicaplast is great with Tretinoin too it's the Cica! Nothing is like La Mer because of their Miracle Broth, not sure what they mean by "results" Try RU-vidr Angela Bright's lashes, the Bright lashes, hers are so comfortable and she has a half lash that is stunning!

I am 100% with you on the calendar, nothing better than the OG!! Also, your eye makeup look, specifically the eyeliner is stunning!!

Some years ago an Avene face cream really saved me with a severe rash I had on my face, where everything else seemed to burn my skin. I used that and my face normalized in a few weeks. So I agree on recommending their creams if you have sensitive or damaged (mine was damaged) skin! Hope this helps!

Love you and your reviews. They help so much because I know they're honest! Calendars and colored pens for me too. Phone just doesn't work for me either. I bought a small spiral notebook from Walmart. I didn't think I'd like it, but I love it. I can keep it open to a full calendar because it lies flat. I can see what I have going on for a whole week. Several years ago, I spent alot time in and out of the hospital with severe sepsis among other things. I could not and still cannot remember if it's Monday or Wednesday or Saturday. My mom who just very recently passed, would call me every morning and tell me what the day and number was. Sometimes I had to call her during the day and ask her again. It's been awful, but I'm getting better. I put a small X by the number every night before I go to bed so I know that day is over. But the fact that it's small, probably 5 X 8" and lies flat is really great. I also have a wall calendar that I order from a horse publication because it's big and has gorgeous photos. I write birthdays on this one! Thanks for the CG recommendation. It's on my list. I really like my Flower beauty that I picked up a Dollar Tree-a one time stock only-but I've used it up. Can't afford it now. Inflation is killing us all!

I have the same issues with shaving. Something else that helps me is to use a sugar scrub before shaving too. I literally use sugar!

I love grapefruit but I cannot STAND grapefruit scented stuff, so I would’ve avoided that at all costs! 😂 I also love the shave oil in Tropical glow, and the watermelon scent is awesome, too!

I used the Elizavecca sunstick for only about 2 weeks before it ran out...otherwise, I liked it. Just wish there was more product inside.

I don’t trust my phone either I always have a calendar on top of my dresser note everything there with fun coloring pens. Oh yeah, one time before a training run I shaved my thighs with a cheap razor in a rush. Never again! Developed a red rash on both sides (luckily shirts covered up up there!) but I had to to the doc. and get a prescription cream. It totally went away thank God! Venus shaving razors are ok. never an issue with those.
