Take the stereo out. Find the green wire splice. It put a screw into the back. Any screw into the back of the radio and then you'll be able to restore it all. You're welcome!
Some settings are inaccessible until you set the parking brake. You must connect the parking brake wire to the parking brake output. Once it's connected and you set the parking brake, then you can access the other features.
Now you need to download a backup software file from Pioneer on a USB drive and install it through the front USB to fix it. I used my PS4 at a motel one time and had several people on my RU-vid app taking control of it, and I never added them on my PlayStation or RU-vid app as a user. I had about 7 people on it who hacked it.
The greyed out buttons is an easy fix. Take a hammer and bang on the screen until you see different colors. You will see colors you never thought existed. 😏
I didn’t have to ground mine and it works fine. I can even watch dvds. I know that it’s supposed to be connected but for some reason it worked. So I just left it alone. Come to find out the aftermarket alarm system and hands free modules that were in it before I installed my head unit were installed by a kindergartner with infinite rolls of electrical tape. They musta ran out of butt connectors. Cause I went to change a 10 amp fuse and low and behold there was a power wire wrapped around the 10 amp fuse I was changing and stuffed in the fuse block. And this whole time I thought I had disabled the old modules. Nope cause when I pulled that wire and cut it to be able to get it all out it sparked. Not only was one end connected to the fuse block but somewhere down the line it was split into two for the hands free part of the whole deal and I had a great fun exciting weekend working all that out and figuring out exactly how much the person before me tweaked and skitzed out on installing their bullshit tweakers deluxe modules
Yep, hack the radio and listen in on conversations .. I figured it out and the people in the cars or moyorcycles made no attemtp to deny. Connect to their phones or whatever. Foothills of Cali.
I have the same problem, I understand you have to hit the parking break to access some settings but I don’t think it’s wired correctly, because even after putting the ebrake it still doesn’t let me access the settings. I don’t know how to do any wiring, anybody got any tips 🤣
