“Black Ops 6” sounds like a parody of the future from the early 2010’s.

Dreamcast 2 this year, I feel it in my bones.

50% ads, 25% celebrity bits, 20% CGI trailer, 5% games.

My prediction is that Microsoft announces that they will purchase the Whimsu network for $15M in order to get Xbox exclusivity for Blumpo 2. However the FTC may block this merger due to the risks of having such a major media network being absorbed into the Xbox ecosystem. So the Whimsu Network will have to split from the games division, and Tyler will be made the COO of Xbox Japan.

I predict some CGI trailers people will go nuts for and proclaim "game of the show".

My hope for Nintendo Direct for the final Switch:Give me Fossil Fighters again!

There are still three notable games stuck on the Wii U that have yet to gets Switch ports so frankly I’d be happy if Nintendo just confirmed Switch releases for them already. The games are Xenoblade Chronicles X (the head of Monolith Soft said he’d love to see it happen if they can find a way to bypass the asset streaming issue that on Wii U was only mitigated by the free asset file packs), The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, and Twilight Princess HD (ideally Nintendo should release them as a $60 double pack kinda like what they did with Pikmin 1+2).

I like these videos. You actually reach on an idea instead of generic safe bets. That most do these days. I'll continue to watch them as long as that holds true.

Considering they said the new Dragon Age is supposed to come out this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see something about that.

Tbh, I feel like his predictions aren't even that bad? He doesn't get them right most of the time, but they're based on the limited information that we know and he always gives some reasonable points to back up the assumptions he makes in the video.

I like the predictions, I have no idea what’s going on in the video game industry nowadays (except KCD2) so it’s nice to get a little catch-up on rumors. Until your next prediction they’ll be truth to me.

I like how chill these videos are. I'm gonna say that your predictions will probably be true. There won't be a lot of major announcements due to where all 3 console manufacturers are at, plus AAA and even AA game studios are in free fall right now. I am expecting at least ONE major announcement from both Microsoft and Nintendo for their games. I don't expect Sony to do anything after that earnings call stating there (like you said) will be basically no games prior to April 2025. It would make no sense to do that here. Looking forward to indie and smaller games being cool. Maybe we'll get the Metroid or the Mario spin-off. Maybe even a pokeman. Maybe Everwild or Perfect Dark or The Outer Worlds 2 will finally be revealed. I imagine one of those you listed from Xbox needs an update. It's been way too long.

My prediction is that we finally see Metroid prime 4. It was announced as a switch title so I’m guessing it’ll be one of the main cross-gen switch titles that’ll launch on both but have improved visuals/frame rate on the switch 2. That’s all Nintendo needs to show for many people to be satisfied with their showing this summer. The development restarted at retro but now it’s been quite a while since then so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s pretty closed to content-complete.

Kind of a pipedream but i want Metroid Prime 4 tnot only to be a launch title, but to be packaged in with the new switch, not only that would bolster sales for Metroid it will also help introduce a whole new audience of more casual fans to the series, potentially making it one of nintendo's best selling franchises.

I think we will get some games that have a Switch 2 logo of some kind just to show that games are being made for Switch 2…similar to how a few games had an NX logo before they even announced the Switch.

PS Showcase is usually held in September too. Seems likely

Microsoft doing a smoke and mirrors show would just backfire how it did for Sony during E3 2006. Bad idea imo. Sure it'd be good short term but long term it'd make the situation even worse for them like how it did for Sony. People don't forget

People who say Pokemon Legends Z-A is coming out for Switch 2 really don't know Pokemon Company that well! They NEVER put out major titles on new hardware. They usually wait 2 years before moving to a new system.

If I were Sony I would be making a Sackboy & Astrobot crossover plat-former. Neither brand has lived up to their potential on their own so I think a game featuring both of them would elevate their IP’s to new heights

I disagree that growing Metroid as a brand will happen through launching Prime 4 as a Switch game. I believe making it one of the launch year titles for next gen console will do that. See Zelda for example. Zelda was never a massive seller before the Switch either. Sure, it sold more than Metroid on a more consistent release schedule, but it pretty much always sold 4-5 millions with only 2 games reaching more than that (about 7-8 millions). See where Zelda is now. I believe this never happens if Breath of the Wild released on a previous gen console only or mainly, even if previous gen was as successful as Switch.

Pokémon Z-A will definitely be made primarily/exclusively for Switch 1. They don’t jump on new hardware until late.

Pokemon legends being a switch 2 would kinda be crazy considering gamefreak has almost always been consistely a slow adopter of new gen nintendo consoles. Also the team that makes PMD just put out a new games, so were probally not getting a new mystery dungeon for a while.

Don’t expect Metroid prime soon, I work with a guy who also works at retro too, and a few months ago he said they were internally delayed another year.

I think pokemon za was built primarily for the og switch because the pokemon company has historically taken its sweet time to get onto new hardware. I have serious reservations believing that they would do a crossgen game.

I don't see a new PMD or a PMD remake happening anytime soon. Spike-Chunsoft just released a Mystery Dungeon game, so I don't see a new one (PMD or otherwise) coming out at least until sometime next year (and even that feels generous). MD games in general usually get announced the same year they release, so unless they somehow manage to get a new game released in early 2025, I don't expect an announcement until next year at the earliest. I feel similarly for Halo, in that I don't expect to see an announcement for the next game until 2025. Even though there are reports that the next game's been in development since 2022, and it's being made with Unreal 5 instead of the Slipspace Engine, I still think we got a while before we see anything about it. Maaaaybe a CG trailer that teases what the game might be like, or what direction it's going in, akin to Halo Infinite's reveal trailer, but that's it.

My prediction is that after the Fallout tv show Microsoft is going to force Bethesda to actually do things. I would not be surprised if there’s a surprise fallout 3 remake/remaster announcement, and for Fallout 5’s timeline to be pushed up and announced for game awards this year or E3 next year

Yeah I doubt we'll get a Switch 2 announcement. We're probably going to get something akin to the original Switch's launch schedule where we only got a trailer in like October of the previous year. I could see Metroid Prime 4 being a dual release on both the old and new console tho like Twilight princess and the like back in the day. Though I guess if the Switch 2 is backwards compatible then it doesn't really matter. And yeah I got no clue what the hell Xbox is gonna do. I think we all know what direction they're going, but there's no way that they're gonna come out just announcing that they're going 3rd party up front like that. They're probably going to try and fight it for a little while still.

I don't think I am buying a switch 2 until we get the next animal crossing / zelda (I just hope its not botw3) I got my pc, I dont need another console until something like that releases. Id love gravity rush for pc! I've always wanted to play it. Im not sure how they will do the gravity controls though.

I played the Gravity Rush demo on the Vita. I hated it because of its god awful tutorial. Never restrict the player during a tutorial.

Nintendo is probably gonna ride on ports and remasters. I mean I won’t lie if they reveal Prime 2/3 remasters I’m buying that asap lol. For Sony I’m hoping something like Gravity Rush 1 and 2 remastered because the franchise looks so interesting, and probably news on the Venom game. And Xbox idk what they’re gonna do, maybe show off the new Fable game?
