Hey guys! I cannot believe my baby girl started preschool! I'm a first timer over here and wanted to vlog our day, share her preschool lunch for ideas and show you what I did with my free time for the first day. She did great! By the end of the day she was beyond ready to come home, but had fun! Mommy didn't know what to do with her free hands and all the silence haha Lots of changes for the both of us.

I love how she said “ I’m gonna miss you” that was so sweet! It’s always good to cry it out the first day is always hard. More so for the parents I find! You did great though hugs to you.

Oh girl I teared up immediately. I cry any time my son does something new and independent. My son has never been away from me either and I worry about it all the time. I know I’ll be a basket case. Such a bittersweet feeling. And I’m loving your hair without the extensions, I think you look super cute with shorter hair! Hope you two have a great rest of the week and weekend!

My husband left my son and I when he was 2 years old. It was the darkest time of our lives. It was financially and mentally scary. He has a relationship w/ him, but he lives overseas now. Oh my goodness. First, can we take a moment .. when Sydney said she will miss you. That just melted me. So sweet. She loves you mama & adores you SO much & it clearly shows. You have grown so much & both as mom / daughter. Your bond is just the sweetest 🥰 I know it was hard on you & I can not imagine trying to fight back the tears. I am an emotional person myself & that will be very hard for me when the day comes. My daughter turns 3 this weekend actually & I know it will come sooner than I realize. She’s been home with me since she’s been born so I will be right there in your shoes! You’re an amazing mama so proud of you. This new chapter is gonna be nice for both of you

Let the tears flow! It’s so emotional. It still happens to me every year and mine are in high school and middle school. It’s just leaving your heart behind and hoping they are ok and happy. Soooo hard. I just love watching y’all. So sweet

The hardest part is the first day or two and then it becomes second nature! You did great Mamma and so did Sydney! I remember when I took my now 17 years old son to preschool at 2 1/2 and he said bye bye mommy see you later! I cried like a baby but he loved it. Back then it was two days for two hours for that age group and it was perfect so I could go food shop and then pick him up. It’s so good for them to be social with kids their age and let’s be honest it’s good for Mom too! You both did great!!

My little girl was 2 when she started pre school and it was the best thing I ever did, she’s now 4 and loves school. I cried she cried and we still have days were she doesn’t want to be away from mammy but honestly best thing I ever did was send her it does get easier trust me.

Awww mama. I cried with you. They grow up so fast. My girls are 13 & 9 now and I remember both of their first days and tear up everytime. I've worked in preschool as well and trust me. She will adjust completely but she did amazing!!

I still cry dropping my kids off at school after summer break lol especially after my kids were home during quarantine for a year they did online learning! I missed them so much the first few weeks back now I love being able to run errands while they are at school it gives me a break but I do enjoying picking them up after school.

My lil one started half a day on Wednesday. I guess I will see how thing go next week for full day. But great ideas for lunch, and yes add more food. My daughter teacher told me more snacks because her class snack twice a day.

I totally cried on and off all day for the first two days my son was at preschool, he started last week. It’s so fun seeing them make new friends and learn new things though. But my 18mo kept asking “bubba? bubba?” while he was gone and I would cry all over again. 😂

My kiddo started preschool mid August here in Los Angeles. He was so ready and said bye only as an afterthought. I was sad to see the end of an era but so happy to see him be happy and excited and make new friends.

I remember when I had to let my daughter go to daycare in order to go back to work. I cried repeatedly all day. I worked as a home visit hospice CNA and when I’d pull up into peoples driveways, before I went in I’d cry, people probably thought I was crazy 😜! My daughter just started kindergarten, I cried every night for 3 weeks before she started.

I feel you 😩 I’ve been a single stay at home mama with my daughter who’s 3 she starts school next September she’s never been in daycare or anything I haven’t been away from her for more than 24 hours I’m dreadingggg it but I keep telling myself that I know it’s what’s best for them, they’ll make so many new friends and be so social and learn! Congratulations On Sydneys first day!!!! It is an adjustment period for you both.. I know you know this but she will get used to just positive reinforcement and the time you share together afterwards is special moments, that your work doesn't have to take your attention away from her now. I hope it becomes a good new beginning for you both, always tell her how much you are proud of her, she is missed but she did it. the next time you bring don't forget she maybe hesitate because she knows it is different and she has to wait for you. This is a transition from what she is used to and you. But it will get better with time.

Free day!!! I waited too long on the pre k deadline … I think my fear kept me stuck and seeing your experience is helpful - my anxiety about being away from my baby has led me to being with her everyday since she was born - I have been too scared to let anyone watch her without me around and seeing how brave you are even when you are missing her helps me see coping with it is natural and something all moms have to endure .

I have a 3 year old so I know next year I’ll be an emotional wreck 😭 not only that, I just don’t trust everyone nowadays 😥 I have to let go of that fear by next year for sure! I am so happy for Sidney that she had a great time at school! I completely understand how you felt. When my little girl went to kindergarten I was also very emotional. But after some time I began to know the area and the teachers and with that it will get easier fortunately :)

Aww I totally get all the feelings. My first is in third grade and my second has her first day of school (first grade) on Tuesday. She was teary and nervous but she loved it. My baby is almost 3 so I dread the day she leaves and I’m really home alone 😭 glad your girl had a good first day ❤️

Bless, I can still remember my babies first day at play school, and that was 30 & 31 years ago now. Its ingrained on my heart, but you have to be strong, and not say I've missed you so much, you have to teach Sydney to be strong even if your heart is breaking ( which it is ) Strong mum, strong kiddies, just wish I could give you a big hug, it gets better TC xo

Letting go is so hard. She is a sweet girl. My grandson cried for 3 days (so far) because he "missed mommy". My daughter says she is moving her office to the preschool. :)

During the first two weeks its going to be a hard time transition. My son did the same thing about crying. He loves it but misses home and momma time. Funny part is that I teach the class right next to his. They had to pry him off two of the days during the first week. But we are in our 3rd week and girl he runs to his class!

I cried so hard when I left my son at preschool. I just did it again walking him down the aisle. Time passed so fast. They are your babies one day and married the next. Hugs to you. Each special memories will never leave your heart.

Hayley were you feeling anxious when you started to drive her off to the pre school? You took a deep breath. So I wondered… or were you just preparing emotionally for the big moment? coz also have anxiety (trying to come out of it) I read taking deep breaths helps… so I was just wondering how u were feeling at that point… And it’s amazing how when they are around, you so want time for yourself, but when you actually reach that point of life where you actually get time, you miss them so much… she s so cute Hayley!!💐♥️

I remember taking my son to his first day of PK3 .... I walked him to his classroom with watery eyes.... he looks at me after seeing all the kids and says, "you can go now!" lmfaooo....little 💩 was so brave and I cried all the way out. lol

I'm loving this! I have an only child who's 20 now and I was the exact way. I remember it like yesterday. I cried and cried. Having an only child escalates everything lol.
