Some called him a poet, others call him a prophet- but one thing's for sure- Dylan is a musical genius and inspiration to so many people famous and ordinary alike

someone asked which one is Jann Klose - he is second from the right. he sings starting at about the 2:58 mark. if you like him here, check out his most recent video called Make It Better where you can hear his awesome guitar work, voice and lyrics: ;Jann Klose MAKE IT BETTER Music Video

poetryraingirl Yes, a great voice and a super person. He helped out with a benefit concert on short notice and expected little to nothing in return except to meet some of our local musicians; who BTW were visibly impressed with his talent. And I caught him in a small club environment, which I hope to do again some day.

I don't know where you got this, but thanks for sharing! I didn't always like all The Byrds songs when I was a kid in the 60s. But I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now ;)

IMHO, McGuinn was THE driving force of the Byrds during the 60's even though Gene Clark was generally acknowledged as the father of the Byrds. The unique sound of Roger Mcguinn's 12 string electric Rickenbacker created the trademark signature sound that WAS the Byrds. Others helped, for sure; Chris Hillman, David Crosby and even (later & in another genre) Graham Parsons. Was there EVER a better 60's band, from the good old USA, than McGuinn's Byrds? I doubt it......................
@northernlight4614

The Byrds gave America credibility in response to all the British Invasion groups. America's best band imo.

Is McGuinn playing that custom 7-string that Martin made for him? He used a double "G" for the 7th string, each "G" separated by an octave.

I love martin guitars. I own a 16OM GT model which is a delete model for some reason, and it has a widest fretboard I've ever play. For the fretboard that wide now I would have to spend like $4000AUS at least so there is no reason for me to spend that kind of money for a crappy guitar player like myself. My next martin guitar would be the 16OOO GT and I love that guitar, fretboard is wide enough for me to plug the strings and easy on the strumming and fits comfortably on my left hand. CHeers

Remember the "hit" version of this by The Byrds? They skipped half of the song to get it into AM radio length. So give the pros a break when they make absolutely sure they're getting the words to one of the best protest songs ever exactly right.
