I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your collection! Probably the most well rounded collection encompassing so many different sports I’ve ever seen! Especially the signed letters, just seeing a Charles Comiskey letter from the 1919 season is an incredible piece of history! Thanks for the tour my friend👍
Love your collection, I’m here in Auburn hills Michigan . Your collection is alot like mine . One thing that blew me away was your Ted Simmons autographs . My dad and Ted lived on the same Street “ Aberdeen “ in Southfield . I’ve heard over the years he’s notoriously hard autograph to get . I’ve tried through the mail a few times over the years with no luck . Went to the HOF induction Two years ago . Anyhow I love your collection and passion ..
Great to see such a fine collection! I got into autograph collecting about 2 years ago when I bought an old baseball at an estate sale for $2. I could see 5 faint signatures and the ball looked old. Anchor Brand, the logo is smudged but i managed to decipher Scout League, dating the ball to the late 1930s - early 40s. I didn't have much hope of ID'ing Scout League players from 80 years ago. I could read one of the names, maybe some girls' little league ball, signed by Allie. No, it looks like a professional signature. Was there anyone named Allie who played baseball? There was! And he played for Cleveland and.... Over the next few days I determined the other autographs to be Phil Rizzuto, Tom Ferrick, Joe Collins and Joe Ostrowski. The 50/51 Yankees! It was fun and rewarding sending pics to my dad and working out the names with him, he was quite sick with cancer and the love of a good treasure hunt was something we shared in common. Since then I've concentrated on 'unidentified' autographed baseballs, so if you've got any to ID I've got a spreadsheet of over 10k sorted by first name, last name, and last letters of names. I've also got a Roger McDowell signed "To Frank" if you need one!
Great Story, baseball as a whole is great for Father-Son bonding. I stick to mainly hall of fame autographs, so no need for the help, but thanks for the offer.
New sub here. Your auto's have left me speechless. Everytime you show one I keep saying " holy crap thats freaking epic" I am a monster Detroit Tiger fan so the 68 Tiger auto's left me speechless. I do not collect sets but 3 months ago I decided to collect the 1968 Tuger cards. I live on a fixed income but most cards are affordable. I already got the Kaline's so those are out of the way LOL I have tons of Tiger auto's. I mean, Babe Ruth auto. Freaking Star Wars signed poster !! I could go on and on. I went nuts over 95% of your auto's. I have a 1972 Topps Kaline auto. I am from Detroit too !! Lived there for 39 yrs and now I live in Oklahoma but I will stay a hard core Tiger fan till the day I die !! I am so glad I came across your amazing channel. Thank you for sharing. GO TIGERS !!!
Mike Moynihan ('Baseball Collector' on YT) mentioned you in his top ten favourite sports collectioons on You Tube, and he didn't disappoint! Wow, what a great collection you have, Frank! Love the variety, and the organised chaos! That's truly an Aladdin's cave of sports memorabilia, and more! Absolutely love seeing people show-case their displayed collections! I think signed visiting/index cards are not only a cost-effective way of collecting, but also a smart way of collecting too, as the possibilities are almost endless with them. I think Rocky Marciano belongs on your Greatest Wall (the greatest boxer there's ever been, in my opinion). Keep up the great work! Liked this video, and subscribed to your channel. Look forward to checking out your other videos, as I'm a long-time autograph collector (esp. appreciate the variety of genres you have covered). Thank you for sharing your collection with us! Much appreciated! 👍
@@baseballHOFautographs: Oh no! There's no doubt in my mind that you'll get an even better item in due course to replace it with, should you wish to. Again, thank you for the great content (and sorry for bringing Rocky up... me and my big mouth! 😳).
Very cool displays and framing! Enjoyed meeting you at the National and chatting in line...still hopeful to add the Clemente auto. The Gerrit Cole piece is one of my favorites...loved him with the Pirates!
Amazing collection especially your Dave Mathew stuff im a big fan as well. Really love how you have put things together in frames it makes your collection organized and clean looking.
What an absolutely terrific collection and beautifully displayed! I hope your framer has you on his or her Christmas card list! I had done something very similar with my collection years back, and was always a little conflicted when the cost of framing exceeded the cost of the autographed item several times over … and that happened a lot!
WOW.. what a collection. The books come in perfect for matted pieces. I bought an Emmith Smith signed book at the Salvation Army. Came home and did some research and looks like it was an Autopen.
First time watching your channel… I liked that! So many cool ways to display photos with autos! I’m going to be searching eBay for signed books! I’m a subscriber now. I look forward to watching more of your videos. (And I might need a Ted Simmons auto!! He was great on my 1982 strato matic Brewers team!)
You have more money in custom frames then i have made my 40 years of working. Awesome collection brotha, i was born in Michigan and will never forget my first MLB game at Tigers. Its when my dad shared his beer with me lol oh the 80s i miss them. Living in arizona now. Nice collection man I'm very jealous. Subscribed and liked.
Wow man, this is inspiring. If you ever want to part with those Olajuwon/Drexler Summit peices please let me know, seriously! And good grief, good work on keeping such a collection through a Dvorce
Frank, I was awesome meeting you at the National social hour. Love the man cave tour. I'm also a huge DMB fan and we're heading up to the Gorge this year for the first time. No shocker that I love that U.S. Open Oakland Hills poster after our chat about my main hobby/love of golf. Anyway love the stuff and the content. Cheers!
What a great collection! I'll show my age. I saw the '68 WS. Did you bid on the Lolich WS trophy that came up? Would've been great to have. Thanx for sharing buddy. 👍
love this, straight museum pieces...30 mins of greatness, not boredom...question..would u mind telling what auto was taken? the space ted simmons now occupies..just curious
@@baseballHOFautographs my bad, could’ve swore you said the “Ex” took one of the GOAT autos in the divorce…my curiosity gets the best of me sometimes…lol
Cool. I don't have anyway displaying much of my collection. I realized I only have 1 TV used jersey framed and a rare photo of 4 NY Giants FB players with Big Bird. Everything else is not on display.
I have so many baseball and basketball cards that no one on the planet knows I have. Mantle rookies, Jordan rookie that have never seen the light of day. Never been graded and never going to get graded. Unopened boxes, autos, 1 of 1s.
@@baseballHOFautographs the only man to have beat up Ty Cobb :) Very interesting guy on and off the field. He was a Tiger from 1906 to 1911. He’s the main player I collect
1st question ...Are Hank Greenberg autos faked a lot? 2nd question...I got a Hank Aaron 1963 Topps auto card back years ago with Auth??..like they weren't sure...found it odd@@baseballHOFautographs
Im not really into signed items like checks, envelopes, and other items but i cant deny that the way you had them framed makes them present really well. I love how you got bryce harper and vladdy when they were in the minors. I bet they were more likely to sign stuff back then they now as professionals. Im also amazed at how many in person autos you've gotten. I have only gotten 2 items signed in person and it was because they were doing signings lance blankenship at a card shop (former oakland as backup 2B) and mark mcgwire at a macys. I have never had luck getting anything signed at games.
Incredible collection. Was great meeting you at the National. Next time we need more time together. Really appreciate you sharing your autograph collection. So impressive
