Its was hard to hear the passing of a man I had so much respect for I was a teenager when I first see Charlie in concert he was with hank jr in the summer of 1979 lake side park Salem va.wow what a show you will be in our hearts forever old friend you were what makes us proud to say we are Americans we love our country and we love you Charlie daniels godspeed.

Thankyou Charlie for this..Your music, your soul brought sense into our lives..Listening to this , I just knew the second you mentioned a walley pike you'd say Wisconsin..You are not wrong sir. God bless your soul and your family. I'm a truck driver and hell a construction worker. I've been trying to give free shows with my sound system..Music is a universal language. It heals deep wounds even temporarily..My 4th of July show this year will start with your recital. You're still alive in my mind and heart..It takes a hell of a lot of famous people to do famous things..But you and I guess Junior pulled off the most recognized recital.. Dont think it's ever been done before. Didn't know until now at about midnight..One small contribution is my hobby I guess, studying music at 53 and investing money into a lot of sound equipment to play music like yours, so people remember or hear for the first time. Loud and clear..The rock or country hall of fame does little justice for the likes of you..You weren't Willie, nor waylen, nor cash or Elvis..You were in a league of your own..Your song simple man is more relevant today..People say they're so busy today, no time for anything..I love to vamp, fish, hunt, canoe.Most of all play music for people on a high fidelity system. For free..Artists out of fame can say or do stupid things..Believe me your life didn't go in vain..Your recital is historically correct. As Gordon Lightfoot's wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. You only have so much time to point out the west to the east..Thankyou for cottifying our fishing resources in Wisconsin..land of over 13,000 lakes..Walley, northern, bluegill, crappe, perch..Yah hell bass too..I'm positive God is sending this message right up. Thankyou Charlie..I've tried very hard narrowing down the best most pivotal songs of all time..I was foolish thinking it would be a hundred or 500 songs..But devil went down to Georgia owns its place in a new category yet undefined..If I ever become a congressman, I'll yield my time playing your song simple man..I'll campaign on that song..Rest in peace good man..

I come from the Faroe Islands, and I've been fascinated with American culture since I was around the age of 14-15 or so. I'm 20 now, and I've listened to thousands of country songs multiple times, ranging from the 50's to modern country music. I must say, that this song makes me wish I could just use it as a bucket list and start exploring the United States!

When we got back home my folks believed in traveling our home was far better than anyplace else in this world. We may wake up one day and realize it's to late for all of us and America. We are suppose to stand together as one. But sadly some people refuse to do this. He was an American and Charlie Daniels is American. The man left strides in his wake and know he sits high on the mountain over watching us America like so many others before him. O sure we may not see Charlie Daniels or the others but thier there watching us America. Thier always watching us! Charlie Daniels is an emortal like those before him that left wakes in thier tides for us America to lead on. We didn't lose an icon we gained an worrier in christ, an angle that still speaks to us America like so many others before him through his songs. Will we lead America as Charlie Daniels and so many other emortals led us or will we America let their emortal spirits fade away?
