I am currently reading Throne of Glass series and started with Assassin's Blade and for me it was perfect for me. I am so much more invested in Celaena's journey

I've not read any of her books, but I've been curious/intrigued for awhile now. This was very helpful, and I hope I remember to come to this video when I do start reading her books.

I started with House of Earth and Blood and it was not really for me. I thought it was way too long and that the story could have been told in a shorter book. But then I started reading Throne of Glass and I absolutely LOVE it so far I've read the first three plus The Assassin's Blade and I can't wait to read the rest!

I finally decided to have fun in my life (after years upon years of being anti-sjm for no valid reason) and binged ACOTAR in feb and now i'm starting ToG and half the reason i wanted to get into her works was because of that Tandem read. i dont know why but it jsut seems so cool taht you can do that. i'm excited to keep digging into this maas-verse

Also Queen of Shadows was SOOO good! I am currently 75% done with Tower of Dawn but I chose to NOT do the tandem read and I am still enjoying things!

Me, my wife and several of our friends have never read any Sarah J Maas. We have ACOTAR lined up for a buddy read next month! I am very excited to dig into these books. I’ve also heard there is a connection between the worlds of ACOTAR and Crescent City?!? Cheers!

I agree with starting on ACOTAR because now reading TOG, I would have quit halfway in if I hadn’t read ACOTAR first. Currently on Assassins blade and it’s getting a little more interesting but according to peers, it’s worth it.

i freaking love TOG especially KoA, it’s literally my favorite book of all time. i haven’t read ACOTAR yet because i’ve heard mixed reviews of it.

I just started reading ACOTAR. I had never read SJM before. I just finished the second book and I’m already depressed about the, finishing eventually… I almost don’t want to start reading the third ….

i read TOG first then ACOTAR and ive got to say i liked TOG MUCH better. Its got much less romance which i honestly prefer in books, theres actually alot of people i know that have only read ACOTAR and have never heard of TOG. I feel like TOG is a must read.

Love your video! I agree with your series reading order for sure. ACOTAR, then TOG, then CC. I also agree that you should NOT skip ACOFAS. It's a nice chill read to set you up for ACOSF. I also agree to read Assassin's Blade after Heir of Fire. For those confused about the tandem read of Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn...Here's my opinion. Yes, you could read them at the same time as they take place at the same time, following two different characters in two different areas. I've heard of some people trying to skip Tower of Dawn because they don't love the character is follows, or they want to get straight to Kingdom of Ash where Empire of Storms leaves off. Please don't do this! Tower of Dawn is important for so many reasons! Please either tandem read it or read it after Empire of Storms. It's a great book and contributes to the overall story. I’ve seen people debate reading AB before or after HOF, and I’ve heard both sides say one spoils things in the other, so you should read X before Y, etc. Would it be best to read some of the novellas before HOF and some after? Or is there no way to avoid certain spoilers?

For ToG: I went the route of ToG, CoM, then Assassin's Blade. Kinda wish I read of Assassin's Blade first imo...

Okay, so I have read throne of glass , Crown of midnight, Heir of fire, Queen of shadows and empire of storms. And completely missed the prequel. Now my question is, do I read the prequel now or do I just carry on tower of dawn and read it assassins blade last?

I started this so backwards! I read CC1 then ACOTAR, ACOMAF, TOG, and now I’m reading ACOWAR. My head is spinning trying to remember the details 😂. Seeing how thick the books are scares me every time but this is not my first rodeo or second or third. 😅

No one gave me trigger warnings for graphic scenes for the torture scenes in KoA. I had to put the book down. And pick it back up after months. I took me 2 years to read kingdom of Ash. 2 years!! KoA honestly let me down except the epilogue ofcourse.

Okay people can say I'm weird or strange but I start with ACOTAR (which I loved) but then I read CC1 I started reading CC2 (Got distracted lol). I'm not gonna finish it for a hot minute because people say to read ToG first which I didn't really think was that big of deal until someone said CC3 would have massive spoilers in it
