This reminds me of how when I was originally planning my quince, my friend wanted light blue and all that and had even chosen a dress but then it got delayed by COVID, she then asked me a few times what theme I wanted and colors and stuff since I had also planned my quince, and I dumbly told her that I wanted rosegold, a few months later she told our friend group that she bought a rosegold dress and planned her quince all around rose gold and pretty much everything I had mentioned I had planned. And later she kicked me from her court cause of “personal issues”

I’m high school I went dress shopping with my best friend for prom and something similar to this happened. I had been showing her what dresses I was going to that specific shop for and when I had tried one of the ones I was looking forward to the most she wanted to try it afterwards. I was really insecure at the time since I had gained some weight and the dress fit really tight on me, so when she came out wearing the dress much better than I thought I did, I just showed her my support. (To clarify, that was the only size left for the dress) She isn’t the type to get dolled up and she was visibly very excited and happy in the dress when she first tried it on. Seriously, probably the happiest I had ever seen her, especially since she was going through so much at the time. Although part of me felt sad that I couldn’t get one of the dresses I really wanted, I had had other options in other stores. By the time prom came around, I loved the dress I had bought from another store (it was giving pink material girl) and had completely forgotten about the other dress. I was so excited to party with my friends that I didn’t even care about what I was wearing.
