Last week we did the Professional Euro Jean Hem in 5 Steps, • PRO "EURO" Jean Hem in...
but this week we will be hacking the Euro Hem in 2 steps, I guarantee this hem hack will be the easiest way to shorten your Jeans while still keeping the original hem!
Sewing and Serging a Jean Hem in Two Steps:
1. Find your desired length - transfer that measurement to the other leg - PIN!
2. Change your presser foot to a zipper foot - SEW!
DONE!
OPTIONAL 3rd Step
3. Cut off access fabric - SERGE TO CLEAN FINISH!

I enjoy your videos, they’re helpful and fun. About jeans hems, why not trim the excess and make a new hem in the style and thread color of the old hem? I don’t mean any disrespect, truly. I recently shortened 5 pair of jeans for a client, and the all new hem matched the original hem perfectly.

Yes you definitely could cut off the hem of your jeans and turn it up to the desired length and stitch, but this way of hemming keeps the *look* of the original hem. I know from experience that many people prefer the EURO hem and this tutorial shows a simplified version of the previous video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RvRUmdEmaGk.html (also, in a way it was strategic to bring viewers back). Hi that was fantastic. I am not a seamstress and I don't own a serger so how can I finish the inside with a regular machine after I cut away the excess fabric?

hello Faren love your amazing professional sewing skills I whish you would film how to sew a blind hem using the blind hem industrial sewing machine in you have one ? and when changing the sewing machine sewing foot don't you use or have the spring type holder so you don't have to use a screwdriver to change it? and any idea when the domestic home sewing machine is going to come up enjoy the lovely videos have a great day.

So Faren, this one seems a lot quicker than last week’s euro hem. Which one do YOU like doing the most? Also...I wanted to ask...with tapered jeans I’m thinking this hem would be more appropriate, right? I have a pair of jeans I’ve been dreading to hem for the hubby...think I’ll get to it. This one is easier, faster and gets you a very similar result (if you decide to finish with the serger)... I perfer this method because of rhe above mentioned, however, if I will be wearing these jeans a lot then the professional 5 step hem would most likely be my choice. For tapered jeans either method would work, just deoends on how much time you want to spend. Best of luck! Thanks for watching 💜
