Hi Neil hope you're well, nice comparison of the lenses I generally use my 24-70mm for landscape photography and to be honest I probably use it for most of my photography. I do have a 12-24 lens but sometimes I find it just get to much of the scene. The longer focal lengths are great for isolating a particular part of the scene. Looking forward to the next video. Best wishes stay safe Jon.

Great video Neil, I can relate with this topic, for a long time I was using the 17-40 and the 70-200, since I purchased my 24-105 I haven't used the 70-200 and I have only used the 17-40 when I need that extra width, which isn't very often.

Cheers Keith 👍 - I had that 17-40 for a short while myself, but got rid... wish I hadnt at times for the extra focal length - Great piece of kit though, even if its regarded as the lesser of the Canon L Series Lenses

I figured you'd pick the most versatile one. I would. I also consider my 24-120 the "best" for landscape photography (mostly woodland, as I rarely photograph more open spaces). That being said, despite its versatility and usefulness, this lens is far from my _favourite_. And hey, a prime (or single focal length) challenge would be great. I'd be up for participating if I had a photography channel :).

Yeah I think my 24-105 is just very handy for the majority of scenarios - Also means I can be lazy and not change lenses that often... I do like my 50mm prime lens, need to start using it more, and keep meaning to 👍👍
