My highest damage match after the nerfs was a 28k soldier match. My highest in general is a 40k on reaper.

McCree is easily the most satisfying hero to get consistent dinks with. Sure Widow is super fun to take heads off with, but being able to hit head after head with McCree is something else 😮‍💨

The tracer did whiff a bit, but he was getting healed and the tracer did around 400 damage to him nonetheless. There's also movement you gotta take into account, because walking in a straight line does make 1 clips quite easy.

When you watch someone play as well, your brain can take in the information a lot easier as you're not worried about movement, aim and everything else. So it looks easier than it really is. I'm not saying Diamond's easy, I'm just saying that GM is much harder.

So the trick to getting 30k dmg is to shot the body 95% of the time with the occational random headshot.
