Hi 👋 I'm in love with your templates, But here in Egypt we've a payment in foreign currencies limitation. Is there another method to get those templates? Thanks in advance ❤
I love how there is a yearly progress bar. I assume you thought of this already but I'll ask anyways. Is there a way that we can also have a weekly or monthly progress bar of all the habits for our week/month so we can shorten the feedback loop of achieving habit targets? Cheers Simon! Long time fan :D
Simon, I love this. I actually watched your previous habit tracker video and it inspired me to put my own spin on it, but what I've done is exactly what you've done on this video haha. I wanted a better control of the habit logs and I didn't want to log them directly in the habit page, also I needed an overview of which days I had done the habit. I also loved your setup because it could accommodate weekly habits and not just daily habits
@@BetterCreating I followed your previous habit tracker video as well and it's been great, but this new system is even better! I've been going over it in my head and I can't seem to figure out the formula to link total logged with the habit button action to update the concat report 🥺🥺
hm.. my total logged is a rollup. I have a habits database and a dates database and my habit button edits the dates database relating the specific habit that I did that day. In my habits database I have a rollup that sums all the days (related pages) that have been logged for that specific habit
Great video which allowed me to make a couple of interesting tweaks to my own setup, so thanks for sharing ! Would love to see the "Build a Chain" view form your Days database :)
I would simply run them for a 3 month period linked to the year: easily done: just set start and end date. You could then potentially roll up the totals into a wider year report. :)
🚨10:35 You have to change that in your own language if Notion is not in English!!! It's best to write instructions about what should be there, in every language in which Notion is available. @Today (English) @Heute (German) @..
Hi @bettercreating I purchased your Simple Life OS yesterday and the habit buttons don't appear to be doing anything. I click them the message pops up that it reacted, but nothing changes on the logs themselves. Could you please let me know how to fix this? Thanks (I have not edited it and I tested the duplicate - experiencing the same problem)
Thanks for downloading! You should make sure you have created a new day in the Days database first with the database template with the name of that entry being @Today - that is what links the button. Best thing is to set the @Today template to repeat each day as an automatic repeat. :).
Hi Simon, A nice update to the Habit Tracker and a nice explanation video (though there is a little transmission glitch at 1:25). Anyway, I have a question about linking entries from the Journal directly into the Tracker (I'm referring to last year's Complete Life OS, but I'm guessing it may be in this year's version as well). I do my Daily Reflection first thing in the morning. There is a field for Mood where I can select how I feel at the beginning of the day. Later in the day when I go into the Tracker and select the current day to log habits and exercises, there is also a field for Mood. Would it be possible to link these two fields so what I add for my mood in the morning it's automatically added to the day in the Tracker? Or did you set this up intentionally with the idea that a person's mood could/would change during the day and thus allow that to be captured? Just curious.
Hi Simon - I own the 2023 Life OS and wondering how to obtain an invite to the Discord so I can download the habit tracker template? Thanks in advance!
Hi Steve, - yes - this seems to be a strange Notion bug with duplication recently. I've deleted the Template page for the database in the templates and recreated it. Please try either doing the same (delete the database template, create a new one and make the heading '@Today' (selecting the when duplicated option) You can also search Unsplash for 'White' to find the same cover for the template if you wish. Then try changing the repeat to daily and see if this works... let me know at notion@bettercreating.com. The alternative could be to duplicate a new copy to your workspace now I've done the above to the template. Thanks! Simon
@@BetterCreating I sent you a message as requested. I duplicated the template and deleted the original. then set the Date field and renamed the duplicate to the original name and set the repeat. It seems to be working okay now. Thanks so much.
Ah wonderful thanks. Ah - the Notion buttons: tricky to explain in a comment; just checkout the Notion guide pages for more :) it basically relates a habit database to a days data database and then counts the number of relations in the habit database :)
Anyone else having a problem with the auto create day? I see the days record created, but its not adding the date and wont show up on the graph. If I manually add the date in the database they do show up
@@samsondawit , I had the same issue as the automation seems not to be running for an automatically created entry, in the free version at least. But adding @Today in the Date field of the template does the trick.
Ah yes - see instructions in the guide: BUT: go to the system databases page at the bottom, select the options you want to delete with the check box on right and press the delete button. :) Thanks for downloading! :)
To see empty days - yes - You will need to ensure there is a day entry for each day generated with no habits linked : they would show as 0 and on graph.
@@BetterCreating thank you for your response sir it means alot to me, lastly, what do you advise i do with the already logged days, as in the days that have passed by? do i delete each day everyday or does it refresh automatically where it just shows the current day/entries? because the logged days building up will make the document very long to scroll down to and navigate
Can someone help me understand please how to make square boxes to put things in? I mean like at 0:45 he has the 'Log & Journal' database inside a square boundary. I am new to Notion and can't figure it out.
A full guide is in the template, and I hope that the overview here will help with that. I’ll be sharing a full tutorial once this is part of. My larger second brain template. Thanks :)
